I have an old computer I wanted to bring back to life to use as a windows 10 system. This memory; plus a new SSD, brought this old 3rd gen Intel system, starts, stops, and whips up screens now like no-bodies business. This is not really high end memory for something like gaming. This is the older DDR3 type memory with no Error control or ECC. Which is why they typically call it UDIMM for Unregistered memory. I believe that means there is no parity bit for error control. Sounds like the same thing to me being said a different way. If your system takes UDIMM memory, and you don't need this for gaming, this memory is a good value. But if you are purchasing DDR3, then you probably have an older computer. Not sure if this stuff will works in a newer motherboard that takes DDR4. Probably not. ... show more

I used these to upgrade some 2 GB memory sticks in one of my systems, and the improvement was instantly obvious. They arrived in perfect condition, in good packaging, and quickly. They popped right into place and started doing what they do. I never like the prices on tech stuff, but this is a pretty darn good deal considering some of the competitors pricing. I bought two of these, and still need to get one more, but had to wait for the next payday! ... show more

Update: Mar 28, 2018. They're still working. I've had them in for 4 days now. They're still working. As usual with memory sticks they were hard to seat properly. Once I got them seated the computer recognized them. I've been doing a lot of photo editing lately and wanted more RAM. These appear to do the trick. I bought 2 sets to upgrade my PC from 8 to 16 GB. My photo editing apps are doing better. That's one area where adding RAM should help performance. Don't expect to make your computer perform better by adding RAM unless you're running applications that are RAM intensive. There aren't as many as you might think. ... show more

I was looking to buy memory and looked at Crucial. That memory was more expensive so tried the APEX. Installed on the machine and after configuring the bios, was able to boot with the new memory. Ran a memory test using hirens. Passed the first pass of the tests. The memory was recognized as Hynix chips. This memory is used by many vendors. It has been running over 24 hours in the machine with no issues. It appears to be good memory. Recommend. ... show more

I'm a 30+yr long PC builder and never mixed RAM sticks with different manufacturers. To upgrade aging i7-4790 system with 8GB of RAM, ordered 8GB(2x4GB) set of DDR3-1600. Received two separately packaged 4GB sticks. Hmmm... They usually come in a package of 2 sticks. Anyway, dropped them to the mother board and CPU-Z says one from Nanya and the other from Kingston. Didn't expect that. Both are quite old too. Manufactured in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Both are older than what my system already has (2 sticks of SK Hynix 4GB manufactured in 2015). They seem like getting along but time will tell. Won't buy again from A-Tech. It was my first experience with A-Tech and it'll be the last. ... show more

Never needed to upgrade a PC until this week (work remote and needed to upgrade my home PC from 4GB RAM to 8 GB). Was initially stressing and intimidated by the the thought of trying do this myself (vs. just bringing it to the Geek Squad who charged $40 for the labor). Watched some videos on how to remove then install RAM and ended up taking maybe 10 minutes max. So far, this new RAM is blazing fast and smooth and a great deal (only $35-ish)! Got the 2x4GB for a total of 8GB for my Dell Optiplex 990. Shipping was fast and price was inexpensive. These were easy to install. Just pop the old ones out and pop these in. I put my old RAM as the 2nd set. Now I have 12 GB. Computer speed up. I could see improvements immediately. For less then $40 this was totally worth it. ... show more
