  • Works in a Synology DS220+
Size: 4GB
This memory works perfectly in my Synology DS220+. Installed, it shows up in the Info Center, and the device runs perfectly. No complaints about it and the price is about a 2/3rds lower than the Synology branded memory Recommend highly.

  • Scam Stick Sent
Size: 4GB
Description of images: First is how the product identifies to the bios and thus the OS; Second is how the product was labeled; Third is the back of the PCB showing that there are only 4 chips; Fourth is an image of the chips with all information; Fifth is the chip manufacturer spec on the particular part number. TL;DR: I received a scam stick of ram, Amazon refunded the cost. Do not suggest this product. I ordered this product to fill the second DIMM slot in my wife's laptop to give her a bit more wiggle room on RAM. I installed the stick, booted the computer, and found that windows thought it had 8GB but could only tell me the status(used/free/reserved/etc) of 5.9GB. This lead to me checking the bios reported size of the new stick(image 1). I then took a closer look at the PCB and noticed there were only 4 chips on the product(images 2&3). I then hunted down the part number of the chips(image 4) and found it in the manufacturer's documentation(image 5). This documentation shows that these chips were sold as a package totaling 8GB(512MB x 16chips). Since only 4 of these chips are on the PCB the total size is actually 2GB. If the ram had just been mislabeled I would be understanding that mistakes happen. The problem is that someone had to have the memory controller report that there were 4GB instead of 2GB. This shows a high potential of a scam having occurred as that kind of mistake is unreasonable to expect. ... show more

  • Works in some systems but my Lenovo didn't like it
Size: 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB)
I'm a retail PC shop owner. I installed 1 of these modules in a Lenovo 15.6" laptop for a customer and had significant BSOD and video issues. I tried another one and got the same thing. I put in a Crucial module and the problems went away. I did find a home for these in a Dell laptop later that week where they were perfectly happy. So, there are compatibility/quality issues with these cheaper, off-brand modules. I will probably stick to major brands from now on...don't need the headaches and unhappy customers. ... show more

  • Good value
Size: 8GB
Worked with my 2019 Acer nitro 5. At first when I installed the ram stick it wasn't working, but swapped places with the ram stick that was already installed in my laptop it worked just fine. Now I have 16gb 2666mhz ddr4 ram in dual channel. It got rid of the annoying stutter I had playing any games too. Definitely worth it. ... show more

  • It works very well in my Synology!!
Size: 4GB
I was somewhat skeptical about this product mainly because the price is way TOO cheaper than the original Synology RAM (around 3 times less expensive). Yet, as I found one review saying something positive about the compatibility of this RAM with Synology (while another recent review says unlucky results), I bet my luck to test it. It works like a charm in my RS820+!! And if I see anything wrong later, I'll post my update here. I HIGHLY recommend this item (so far)! ... show more

  • Maximum RAM for the price
Size: 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB)
This is an upgrade for a 2017 Dell Inspiron 17" 5000 Series. After a Windows 10 update, I can't tell which one, noticed my laptop started to consume tons of RAM without any logical reason. So bad that after 2 hours of working I had no RAM at all. It just happened. No virus or malware present. So, I had 2 ways to find out what was wrong, format C: and reinstall Windows 10 or add more RAM. Second option was my best guess. Installed 2 SIMS of 8 Gb each, System BIOS detected new installed RAM as soon as I rebooted my machine and listed on the BIOS setup 16 GB of RAM installed, no problem at all, no drama on Windows 10. Everything worked as expected and now Windows 10 just consumes about 20% of RAM and stays there without a considerable fluctuating rate that makes my laptop to run out of RAM. So, far this RAM works really good, although I just have running my laptop for about 2 days, I have not noticed any kind of problem or incompatibility issues with the system BIOS or Windows 10. Performance-wise, I have noticed a little increase in response time with different apps, probably because this machine has a Toshiba SSD that makes it really fast when loading any program. Now, what I really noticed was a decrease on the i5 processor usage causing my laptop to run much cooler than with the previous RAM . For 80 something bucks you can't go wrong, taking into consideration that buying the same amount of RAM with the exact the same specs direct from the laptop's manufacturer it almost triples the cost of this set of 2 SIMS, so it really worth the price you pay for. ... show more

  • Easy plug and play at a reasonable cost for my Dell Inspiron 13-5378
Size: 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB)
I have a Dell Inspiron 13-5378. That's a thirteen-inch two-in-one notebook PC running Windows 10. Easy peasy. I removed 9 screws to remove the PC bottom, unplugged the battery, pulled out the origin memory card, and plugged in two A-Tech 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz SODIMM 260-Pin PC4-21300. Obviously, I put everything else back in place. When I booted up, the PC saw the new memory immediately and put it to work without any action from me. Even so, to calm my paranoid nature, I went to Windows settings, which corroborated that all 32 gigs of memory were indeed in full use. I needed more memory for the more complex musical scores I've been recording lately with Avid's Pro Tools software. The additional memory instantly cured the crashes and performance issues Pro Tools was suffering. Thanks, A-Tech, for making it easy and affordable! ... show more

  • Worked in synology DS920+ with no error messages
Size: 4GB
It works great in my Synology DS920+ with no error messages. Make sure to seat it very good when you install this chip, I didnt at first and the NAS wouldnt turn on. Also make sure to re-install ALL your HD's before turning the unit back on, I screwed that up too and had to re-build one of my arrays. All and all, works great once installed correctly, would highly recommend especially for the money. ... show more
