What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this book. When I entered the world of Jaime and B, simply B, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I had seen this book everywhere and it was recommended to me by many, they said I was going to love it, that it was going to rip my heart apart but it was going to be worth it. Didn’t know much else about it. This book captivated me from the first moment Jaime and B quite literally smashed into each other. And that is when their story began. ✨✨"I saw him first, but it didn’t matter. Because he saw her."✨ ✨ This Fifth Anniversary edition is their complete story and thus, the one you should read. Which by the way, I am so glad I found this book now and not five years ago!!! I would have been left wanting more!!! The first part of this story, “A Love Letter To Whiskey”, is one of the most heart-wrenching, painful, emotional, maddening, stressful, full of desire, passionate stories I have ever read. this book.. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I laughed, I cried, I had to put the book down && take a walk. This book made me happy, devastated, angry, literally all the emotions one could feel. I've never read a story that made me love & hate the main characters so much as this one has. B & Jamie had that all consuming love && this is a book that will stick with me for a long time. ... show more

the tears that i shed make this review hard to write because i can barely see the screen. the box of tissues that i had set aside was not enough and needed maybe two or three boxes to keep up with the amount of sobbing that occurred during this book. i cried no less than five times and felt my heartbreak, rebuild, and then break again. i loved kandi steiner's writing. i can confirm i am no longer the same person i was when i began reading it. it was poetic and raw, dragging you into the toxicity that flowed from the pages, dancing around your feet. i was so thoroughly invested in b and jamie's story that i never wanted it to end. steiner is a genius, bringing me to my knees while i bathed in b and jamie's pain with them. i was angry with them for their treatment of each other and the continued right person wrong time, yet i never wanted a couple to be together as badly as the two of them. this is gut wrenching and heartbreaking, but one of the most beautiful books you could ever read. ... show more
