It's about time that I finally ordered this. I've been trying my little roll of double sided tape or I've been trying to glue things that would have been much better with tape. Either way I've been in a lurch several times lately. Things to know: The smell is strong coming out of the package. My son took a whiff and gagged, but I didn't find it that strong. It's much easier if you apply this to one side and leave the backing on until you're happy with everything. Trying to take off the backing and hold the tape steady led me to several struggles, so I learned my lesson. It's much more stable with the backing and will lay down smoothly. When I tried the other way it started sticking to itself and it stretched out of shape very easily. It reminded me of the glue that I used to spread on my hand until it dried and then peeled off. My son just said, that looks like skin! That was without me prompting him. Test your painted items before using very much of this. It doesn't feel super sticky at first but can still pull certain types of paints. If you make a mistake remove quickly as it comes off easier at first. It molds easily to things. A small amount goes a long way. Like for putting balloons on walls just requires a small square. Glad to have this in my office supplies.

I like this double sided tape for scrapbooking. It is so much easier than using the glue dots. Somehow, my glue dots always end up in a round ball of glue, rather than a flat dot of glue. This roll of tape allows you to customize the size of tape you want and easily cut it to a different shape if need be. I originally ordered this tape because I saw that it could be used on fabric. I wanted to mend one of my pups toys with it. A small section of bias tape had come off the edge of the toy. I could have used my sewing machine, but I though I'd give this tape a try. Unfortunately, the tape didn't work too well. Originally it repaired the area really well. I couldn't even tell where the bias tape had come off the toy. But, as my dog started playing with it, her saliva caused the tape to lose its stickiness. Some of you may be wondering why would that matter. If you plan on using this tape for fabrics that will eventually need to be washed, then this tape may not be for you. Putting this tape through water may cause it to lose its stickiness and your project may fall apart. Just my two cents worth.

Very good adhesion. Works great for paper but happily also works for fabric. I make bags and double sided tape is often used in the production process. I got the .39inch tape to try but the fact this comes in 1 inch and 2 inch pieces already has the wheels in my brain turning on how I can use it to help hold pieces of fabric together. Most of the time people use leather tape but it comes in much smaller widths. The larger sizes just broadens the application. Overall I'm very happy to have found this tape as another option for my sewing/crafting needs!

This is some good quality double-sided tape that will firmly stick paper, cardboard, posters, and more to other surfaces cleanly. If you use this on paper, don't expect to remove the paper intact. It's nice that this comes in various widths, and 3M is a trusted company. The only possible drawback is that the roll is very large with a lot of dead space in the middle, so it might be awkward in a tight drawer. Interior diameter is 2 7/8", and the full diameter of the roll is 3 15/16".
