This ring is pretty but should never be described as gold. It evens looks gold in the picture. It is more of a dark rose gold almost copper. I own several pieces of rose gold but wasn't looking to buy another piece at this time. A little disappointed. I also have small hands and the ring is kind of heavy and the band is a little wider than I am used to. It's definitely not sterling silver, nor even has cubic zirconia, I can assure you that, but it's at least a nifty bit of costume jewelry.
