Great looking piece. Pendant definitely appears to be real, solid 925 silver. Sturdy stainless steel chain. This should last many years as long as you don't wear it in a hot tub. Real silver tarnishes black. Chemicals in a hot tub, pool, or shower can speed up the oxidization rapidly, causing a black appearance. This is to be expected. All you have to do to fix it it's give it a good polish, and have some common sense. ... show more
