I am allergic To nickel. Therefore I only buy sterling silver jewelry. The Clasp on this necklace isa filler in junk metal, with nickel in it! I bought this necklace because it was sterling silver, meaning I would not have a reaction to it wearing it. However, that's not the case. I'm unable to wear it until I take it to a jeweler and get a Sterling silver or hypoallergenic Clasp put on it. When I wear it and sweat, I break out terribly on my neck everywhere that clasp touches, and it spreads. I’ve had this chain for a couple months now. It is exactly as it looks in the photos and I’m very happy with it. Looks every bit as good as the day I got it and I haven’t removed it once - shower with it on every day. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the lobster clasp turns black pretty quickly. I’m not sure why it’s a different material and it is 925 stamped signifying sterling silver, but it most definitely is not of the same quality as the rest of the necklace. For $6.99, you can get a clasp of the same size and hopefully better quality, so that’s what I’m going to do. Would be an easy 5 stars if the brand hadn’t cheaped out on a tiny but crucial piece. ... show more
