I bought this as a gift for my daughter, who loves both outer space and collecting gem stones. It includes all 8 planets, in the proper order, with sizing of inner and outer planets relatively to scale. In actuality, you could fit more than 1,300 Earths inside of Jupiter, but this set is just the perfect size for her to creatively play and display her planets as she likes. The quality of the gemstones is great, with lots of detail, and a nice weight when you hold them. The wooden display stand has circular cut outs sized to fit each planet, with the planet names written inside in gold foil, in case you're not sure which planet goes where. My box had a sticker on one side, which I pulled off and ended up ripping the box a bit, but I am very pleased with the quality of the set and I know my daughter will be absolutely thrilled when she receives it. It also would have been nice if some information about the gem stones were included with this set, but I plan to write it up myself for my little gem enthusiast. update: after writing this review, the company reached out to me and said they have updated this product with an informational brochure containing gemstone information about each planet, and are sending me a brochure as well. The package arrived on time and came in good condition with nice protective foam for the planets. The wooden block the planets rest on is nice but I feel that it could be even nicer if varnish was used. Other wise everything looks exactly as pictured. The only issue I had was that the planet/stone brochure pictured in the images was not included in the original shipment. I contacted the vendor and had a reply within 24 hours that the brochure was being shipped to me; the vendor even included a bunch of jewelry cleaning clothes. I was extremely satisfied with the immediate response and resolution to my issue. I just wish the brochure was included in the first place as pictured. I would certainly recommend the product to anyone interested in gemstones, planets, or a nice desk decoration. The item was for my nephew's birthday and he loved it. Couldn't stop playing with the stones and reading about the type of rocks. I only hope he doesn't lose any... ... show more

I love this stone solar system. It’s actually correct (only 8 planets) so, while I do miss Pluto a bit... that’s okay! What’s amazing about this is how they rather matched the stone colors to the planets: Earth is a marbled blue; Mars (aka, the Red Planet) is reddish rust; the Ice Giant Neptune is dark blue. Fantastic - certainly worth the money for this to be on my desk: my daughter (6yo) will play with them - if she promises not to lose any! It’s perfect for her to learn the planets. ... show more

We love going Gem Mining, so when I saw that the planets were made out of different gems, I had to have this. I love that it tells you what each planet is made from and the country of origin. I hesitated at the price, but this was a purchase I don’t regret. My kids love them as much as I do and we will enjoy using these when we study Space. ... show more
