  • Sturdy built, good power
Love this small drill, although it is small it has great power and can easily drill a 3/4 inch hole in pine or spruce wood. Haven't tried it on anything else. I drilled forty-five 11/16th holes in 3/4 inch spruce and the last one drilled as easy as the first. Solid metal construction. Manual adjust of the drill plate would have been easier if it had an adjustment knob that you could turn to adjust but otherwise a great little drill. ... show more

  • Works great.
I love it, perfect for my little shop. I did put the pin in backwards at first and it kept slipping down, but once I turned that around it’s been great. I can’t blame the machine for my stupidity.

  • table does not lock in place
Not sure why. I've double checked the screw pin that holds the table in place was inserted from the right direction. But even when full on tight the table still slides down the shaft. I was able to use it but confused why the table slides and does not stay in place.

  • Great Starter Drill Press
The media could not be loaded. This is my very first drill press and I am pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use. I am primarily using it for woodworking. It is very easy to change speeds if needed. It is the perfect size for my workbench. The cross laser is a great idea….. but, on my particular drill press it is just a fraction off the desired mark. I am only giving the accuracy 4 stars because of the laser being slightly off. Everything else with the drill is no doubt 5 stars. If I can figure out how to adjust the laser, I will definitely edit the accuracy star rating to 5 stars.. great drill press ... show more

  • Save your money.
I am on the verge of just returning this drill press. The mechanism to change the speed of the drill just does not work. Additionally, the chuck is bad, too, as I've tried multiple bits and the whole mechanism does not "grab" the bits properly, as they wobble. Of course, I read the instruction manual. But the overall operation of this device leaves much to be desired, unfortunately. Maybe customer service at Woodskill will be helpful and resolve these problems, but I am not holding my breath. ... show more

  • drill press
The drill press arrived quickly and was packaged well. No damage. It was very easy to assemble. Took less than a half hour. I like the laser feature. It seems to very accurate. It runs very smooth. The laser comes on as soon as it is plugged in. I would prefer a switch to turn it on and off. I will most likely rig up a switch so I don't have to unplug it. Bare in mind this is a light duty drill pres so it has it's limitations. Overall it is a nice unit. ... show more
