These floating shelves were exactly what I needed for my wine rack display. They were fairly easy to modify to create the slight wrap-around on each side of the panel, just had to route out the channel for the wall mount on back of the shelf after making the cuts (and cut 7/8" off the end of the protuding metal arm) and, viola! These are good, but arent smooth to touch, you can get splinters from them. They need to be smoothened out. So for me I just need to sand it down ... The original wood look is great, I'm not familiar with tools, so to put this on the wall is a bit difficult still, instructions are images, so you have to kinda just swing it. 😂 Screwing the bottom of the wood to connect to metal bar was hard, as the hole in wood was not accurate, hole needs to be made a bit to the left of where it is now. Of course these to me are minor things that can be fixed. Wood is thick and heavy, does come with all pieces. Still working on putting up. ... show more

These shelves look amazing on the wall and bring a nice rustic touch without feeling too rough or unfinished. The wood feels solid and real, not like that cheap stuff that chips or warps. Installing them took a bit of patience since the hidden brackets need to be lined up just right, but once they’re up, they’re super sturdy. Such beautiful wood! Reclaimed wood shelves look really awesome on the wall. My husband said these were easy to install. I do wish they felt a bit more secure, but they are in studs. They are nice and deep and can hold quite a bit which is great.
