We put this directly into the ground the day we received it. While we did not purchase it for a flag pole (outdoor antennae), we wished we had. I bought a 25' flag pole 2 years ago to use as a flag pole and while I continue to be very happy with the previous purchase, it still looks new after 2 long winters, this pole was much sturdier. Assembly is as easy and we had it assembled and put into the ground within 30 minutes after cementing the ground base in.     • Cheap! not worth the money
Not a recommended purchase! The pulley housing and pulley are plastic as well as the balls on top. The weather will not likely deteriorate these items with in two years. The pictures on the web site make it appear you can lower and raise your flag. Impossible as the rope provide is not long enough to accomplish this. When you lower the flag, the other end of the rope goes thru the pulley, so you have to take the pole down and re-feed the rope and start over again. Instructions provided stink.
