The XLR connector snaps right onto the rod of my machine. The "upturned head" is a bit disappointing because the first 4 inches of the dildo are not reinforced internally so it is just basically "floppy". So while it does have a bend in it, that bend straightens right out as soon as you insert it, or even worse it folds over and impales you. It really could do with some more rigidity in that part of the shaft. You need to be really careful when using this with a powerful machine because it bends in the middle easily.
