If you're like me and you've always wanted one of these 'just because' then now is your time! This one will be worth the wait--it's built very well! Every part is ultra protected to withstand outdoor elements--the trunks are thickly wrapped in tape and the palm fronds are super-secured to them and are themselves strengthened with wire and glue. The tree's design is great as well but assembly and reinforcement are required. There are large yard staples and a water bag included to help sturdy the tree (once assembled it's quite topheavy and will not stand on its own). I installed mine on a wood deck so I used screws and washers thru the base plate. Then its just a matter of securing trunk sections together using the preattached hardware. The large fronds need to be repositioned and shaped. The already attached rope lights just have to be wound around the trunks and each end connected to the included power adapter. Then plug the whole thing in to a power outlet and the final result is perfect and bright. No matter where you decide to place your palm tree, be it on a porch, a boat, a garden, or even in the kitchen, it will entertain guests and neighbors alike, providing a great ice-breaker and conversation starter. Great quality, very happy with this product!!

4-22-24 This brings a little tiki luau fun ambience to a patio. By no means are they trying to pass this off as a natural looking tree but the fronds look pretty good for being artificial. Assembly and primping is simple and takes about 30 minutes, all the components are clearly marked, and The photograph instructions are easy to follow. There is some flexibility on how you turn the trunk pieces to get a different curve on the taller trunk but keep in mind you're also trying to keep it from being top heavy and toppling over. It does come with a ring that you can weight with water to go around the base or tent stakes for soil you could also use your own hardware for securing to a deck, or omit the wider base plate to place in a planter or pot. I use the water bag and placed a piece of burlap around the bottom, similar to a Christmas tree skirt, to hide the base and water bag. They don't exaggerate the height at all, It's 7 ft before you primp the top fronds and closer to 8 ft depending on how you primp them. The fronds are wired about 2/3 of each leaf and easy to bend or arch. Also you could always omit 1-2 of the trunks for the tallest palm to make it shorter if needed. I have mine on a covered somewhat protected patio so it will never see direct sunlight. I wouldn't recommend using this permanently in an outdoor setting with full exposure since I think the brown tape that wraps the trunk and the palm fronds wouldn't last long. The remote control works roughly 25 ft away if you have a direct line of sight to the plug-in/control box. But if you lose the remote or the battery dies there is a manual button on the control box that you can toggle through the different light settings, but won't have the timer or dimmer function as with the remote control. The warm white fairy lights for the trunk sections are encased in clear tubing, while the green fairy lights on the palm fronds are glued on. It has eight different light settings from a twinkling, chasing, flashing, slow breathing and solid, it also has 3 brightness levels. If you'll be using this specifically for parties or temporary events it disassembles and packs up pretty small for storage. I'm pretty happy with it As long as you're not looking for something that looks natural I don't believe you'll be disappointed. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you!

The media could not be loaded. For starters, let me just say my deck is not set up yet so if you see cords and such, please excuse the mess. The hubs and I just started working on our spring cleanup and the deck has not been touched yet. This is a nice palm tree. Easy to put together & understand the instructions. It is a little top heavy so it will definitely need the waterbag. I am also going to have the hubs screw it into the deck so it doesn't tip over. It looks nice when it's lit up at night. 2 flaws though. There was some type of oil or something on the poles. Not exactly sure what it was but it did have a slight odor. Also, my remote did not work. I did pull the plastic out of the remote but it didn't work. The hubs is going to check the remote tonight when he gets home from work. I'm not exactly sure where on the deck I'll be putting this palm tree. Like I said, we haven't cleaned the deck up yet. I have about 75 houseplants that I will be bringing outside for the spring and summer so once I get them set up, I can figure out where I'll be putting my tree. All in all, it's a nice tree. I'll post pics once I figure out where exactly it'll go for the season. I will also update on the remote situation once the hubs figures out if it works.

If you want to spice up your deck or pool area this is a must. It’s not too large but big enough. Easy to assemble (make sure to balance it correctly by directing the stems of the big tree properly and use the water filled bag it comes with to weight the base. To make the tree look great angle the upper palm leaves upward and curve the ends down a little and spread the lower ones out as you go down also curving them at the ends. When wrapping the lights around each trunk, make sure to do it tightly from the top down so it Looks neat The remote is a nice feature as it has timed on/off. Easy to bring inside when not in use (and of course it could be used indoors if that’s what you wish). This product looks high-quality.

My hubby won't let us move south yet, so I'm brining the tropical-ness here. This was easy to assemble. My only complaint is that there was a slight bend in the metal base, making it impossible to screw one corner of the base down. But the other three corners work fine. It's super windy here and I don't have this stabilized at all and no issues yet with toppling over. I love it
