Installed easily. The back air cleaner housing with primer bulb was not an exact duplicate of the original and lacked a connection to the fuel tank vent (which was then obviously not connected). It took a long time to get the mower to start for unknown reasons. Perhaps the fuel did not properly enter the carburetor through the needle valve even though a separatly purchased fuel filter had been installed. When it did work, it worked fine. I have not used it long enough to comment on longivity. I liked that the system came with new gaskets and O-ring and a new air cleaner with primer bulb, and spark plug. Provided for a good reconditioning. Wished it had also come with a new fuel filter for a complete reconditioning. ... show more

This was exactly what I needed after accidently snapping the plastic throttle linkage on my original one while trying to clean it. Not only was the carb a perfect fit; it included the gaskets, sparkplug, air filter and an additional hose. At some point in my mower's history I've replaced all of them at one point. The total price of this kit would be worth it at more than double the cost. Replaced the carb, bolted it all down and it started in 2 pulls and idled perfectly immediately. ... show more

Waste of time. See photos. The carb kit came with a primer base plate, air filter, plug and gaskets. Unfortunately, I spent too much time trying to fix the faults in them. The concave (engine side) of the carb is too deep to seal with the new O ring. Even the old one would sit too low in the carb to seal. Confirmed with a straightedge. The primer/base plate had the 3rd hole raised boss too long and did not allow the plate to fully seat on the carb unless it was over tightened and warped. I removed almost 1/8 inch of plastic with a razor knife and sandpaper. Then it fit flush. The raised lip between the primer bulb and the carb port was partially flat and would not seal against air leaks. I tried the double gasket thing too. No good. I then thoroughly cleaned the 20 year old OEM carb, installed the old O ring, and the engine runs fine now. Until I receive an original Briggs prime/base plate, I start it with a spray of carb cleaner. Fortunately, this was an inexpensive lesson, but a time waster. Imported parts are hit and miss. I suggest OEM parts. UPDATE. Installed a Briggs OEM primer/base plate, it fit fine and after a few bulb pushes it fired right up. ... show more
