The Fusionelle 7" vinyl siding removal tool is a must have tool for performing repair work. These tools make the "unzipping" of vinyl siding a simple task. I also use this tool to assist with reattachment of the siding once the repairs have been completed. The tool body is made from a single piece of steel and has a good hook design. The 7" length is a nice to have feature, but it really doesn't seem to make a big difference when compared to using my Malco SRT2 SideSwiper II. The only issue that I have with this Fusionelle brand tool is the lack of grip texture on the handle. The grip material is completely smooth. This smooth grip is not ideal when working in hot or cold weather. In hot weather your hands get sweaty, causing this tool to slip out of your hands. In cold weather, the smooth grip handle also allows for slipping in your hands if you are not wearing work gloves that have aggressive grip texture palms. For the slight difference in price, I recommend the Malco SRT2 SideSwiper II vinyl siding tool over this product.

I rarely give 5 stars for products since I think it means it's perfect and very rarely is anything ever perfect. But I daresay this tool deserves more than the 4 stars I'm giving it. The rubberized handle feels good and comfortable in the hand and the tool works as advertised to unhook vinyl siding and "unzip" it along its length. I found myself using some force to get the hook to push up and hook onto the vinyl lip, so clearly the metal is thick and strong enough to not worry about bending on me. Good tool at a good price. I'm happy to recommend.

Good siding tool that comes very well packaged. The rubberized grips is nice and adds the grip that's helpful, especially when wearing gloves. Makes it much easier to disconnect pieces of siding or soffit for repairing or replacing.
