It didn't live up to what I thought it would because of reviews. I often had to run things through twice to get it to laminate. And a few pieces of paper ended up stuck and I had to pull them out. The cutter was good.

This laminator worked great for almost a school year. However, recently it no longer heats up and the "ready" indicator light does not turn green. It is not something I use everyday nor did I keep it on when not using. I expected it to last longer than it did. When working definitely 5 stars. I have used the sample sheets for the hot lamination and it works just fine. The first time I used it there was a slight odor but the second time I turned it on I did not smell it. I have not gotten to try the cold lamination setting yet.

This laminator works great and the little cutter on the top is a very nice bonus. I use it in my classroom regularly and have been very happy with it.

    • Great unit for a great price
This is an excellent unit as it comes with the paper cutter right out of the box. One thing to watch is that it does not heat correctly for the first use, and I almost sent it back. This I am assuming because of the oils etc on the heating element during manufacturing. I did give this unit a second chance and it heated up quickly and sealed perfectly. I am glad I tried it for a second seal as I now love this unit for it's speed to heat and seals in one pass. ... show more
