Has just enough weight to it to allow items to be placed on top without worry of any damage or scratching to the plane surface. This is more than just a simple dust cover. it has enough strength and thickness to protect your surface at a higher level than most things on the market that are just a simple, thin piece of plastic. I ordered this cover (8 ft, brown) before I read the reviews, and then I was worried about the problems others had pointed out in the reviews. In short, none of the criticisms I read applied to my cover. 1. I read that it has a terrible smell and needs to be kept outside for a period of time to air it out. - My cover has no smell right out of the package. 2. I read about a seam on the side of the cover that seems out of place and makes the cover look asymmetrical. - There is a seam on both sides of the cover, not on one side, and they line up perfectly with the edge of the table. So the cover is symmetrical and looks very well done. 3. From previous reviews it seemed that the cover was a flat sheet, and not fitted. My cover has fitted corners, and it fits my table (8 ft Connolly) perfectly. 4. I read that one should order a size larger than their table size for it to fit better. For me the 8 foot size fits my 8 foot table perfectly. It seems that mybe this supplier has listened to their customers and improved their product accordingly. The cover has a very nice look overall, and I like the thick canvas feel to the fabric. Much better than plastic, vinyl or faux leather options IMO. ... show more

    • Appears to be well made, but has a very strong petroleum smell when first opened.

We purchased this to place on our 7 foot pool table in the family room. It is a little wider and longer than our table, but fits okay. What really is of concern is the strong petroleum smell of the fabric. After 2 days, I could not stand it any longer, and I took it outside and opened it up out in the sun on the driveway for 2 days in a row, then placed over a couple of chairs on the patio opened up for an additional week. The odor is still slightly there, but it's not nearly as overpowering as it was when I opened the package. It appears to be very well made and should hold up pretty well to kids and cats. It looks nice on the table and I expect it to last for a very long time. ... show more

This arrived today and covers my 9 foot table. It’s not the perfect snug fit, it’s a little larger than my table, but I knew it wouldn’t be a perfect fit. I’m happy with the material and quality. It will definitely protect the table and it was priced well.

Very nice and very durable problem is I spent $60,000 redoing this basement into a beautiful rec room I have heat I have dehumidifiers everything‘s running smoothly for the past eight months then all of a sudden two days after I get the pool table cover I smell must mildew that was a flag I thought something had gone wrong with all the things I had done with the basement why now why am I smelling this now I searched I had my professional come back in and search couldn’t find anything but then on the second day I came in and smelt it really strong by the pool table and realized it was the cover. I had to spray it with 99% germ killing bacteria spray two doses of it all over the cover it is day five and the Mold smell seems to be gone… i’m not sure of this appra is supposed to kill mold. That was not a good feeling you must make sure your products can breathe in storage and not be sitting in the dark for too long. Mold is not something you can typically get rid of!!!!! ... show more
