After a full season it has not frayed or allowed weeds to grow. Walked on it everyday, absolutely no issues. I made ALL cuts with a cheap hot knife (essential step that should not be skipped! Fully expect it will last 1-2 more seasons.

This weed barrier is extremely easy to lay. Have purchased 2 rolls and almost have used it all. (75%). Extremely durable material. Easy to cut (use a propane torch) and shape to anything you need. Just do minimal ground prep and then roll it out. Have used primarily as barrier before laying down rock/gravel. This seems to be very effective at keeping grass/weeds from popping up thru the rock. (Has been laid for almost 60-90 days in most areas with no vegetation / growth coming thru). Also has been used as the liner in several garden boxes with good results. Allows the box to drain properly while keeping undergrowth from coming thru and ruining the vegetables that have been planted. I also compared to the big box store options and this was by far superior for the price point. I’ll be buying it again once the last roll has been completely used up.

Definitely helpful in starting my garden- finally. It's the perfect thickness where I can walk across it and not puncture holes in it with the grass. It's sturdy and helpful in blocking certain grasses or weeds from growing where I don't want them.

This covered a lot of ground! This is good stuff, heavy duty. It did sort of unravel at the edges when cut but I later had someone suggest cutting pieces with a lighter to melt it, but haven’t tried that yet. The weeds grew well where I didn’t overlap the seems like I should have but nothing grew through the main part of the material . I didn’t realize it but it did come with a good size pack of nice and sturdy fabric staples and I’ll be getting another roll this year to cover what I missed last year.

Great value. I have been using similar materials for years to reduce the labor and time needed to tend my large home garden. The 8 foot wide roll was perfect for my 50-bush blueberry patch. I use solid concrete blocks to set the material when unrolling especially when covering vegetation. I have sections with holes cut for specific crop spacing that I reuse for years. For vegetable gardens, I recommend rolling the material up at the end of the season and trimming any roots that have penetrated the fabric. You may see a one star review that I find laughable and lacking in common sense. Yes, you do need to overlap the material to seal light and stop growth at the seams. Yes water does seep through the weave, but not like a kitchen strainer. And finally, the effectiveness of staples depends on the soil type. High quality topsoil with organic matter will be different than a clay soil. That's why I always start with concrete blocks, old pipes, fence posts, etc to secure the material initially. The longer it is down, the better it bonds and by using weights, it is easier to reposition after any vegetation under the fabric settles.

I bought this to use in my garden and it was not very good. It’s looking like it’s not even going to make it to actually be used for that purpose. I had purchased two rolls. One roll had some issues with holes in it. The next thing that is wrong with this is the amount of staples they give you there is nowhere near the amount of staples that you need to actually secure this to the ground if you are using it in a garden type scenario, I had used two extra boxes of staples that I had at the house and the wind was still ripping this thing out of the ground, and then when the wind does that, it also starts to unravel the woven technology from it as . In reality, if you’re using it for a garden, you should probably have one of those metal steaks every 6 inches unless you are somewhere where wind doesn’t often happen. Also, from my pictures you can see that the water does not like to penetrate this material which in the description it also says that it would be able to do that and it won’t. They also have a recommendation of overlapping this material like 1 foot which would severely cut down and give you less product in my area and for my purpose this was completely fast advertisement. In my opinion most of mine have been ripped out of the ground by wind and I assume that every year this issue would happen and would continuously make me purchase this product every year for the same purpose for my garden which I’m not going to do. Amazon gave me a full refund on my product after I had called them and asked about the process on how to return this item since it had been used and has been not so great now on the other hand if you’re using this for landscaping purposes where you’re putting sand or mulch over top of it I think it would do all right and it would be fine, but there is other reports and reviews on this particular product that we still was able to go through that
