There is almost no way to see that these are not real, except for the fact there aren't any bare spots or droppings all over. Yes, like many thousands, I ordered these for Christmas decor, but think they will work for table runners for weddings or other type receptions. The lights require 3 AA batteries, and have 9 different settings from sequence flashing to fades or solid on. The price point on the garland is not cheap, but these are not cheaply made garlands, and I bought 5 sets to replace the cheaply made garlands we have used in the past. The review boxes include one for Scent, but I detect none. To me that is a plus as there are many different scents already fighting for smelly supremacy. Opening the box I thought the garland was going to be more sparse than the listing showed, it is a tiny bit, but not to a visual detriment in my opinion. It's a lovely texture and has excellent fullness. It comes with a pack of battery powered fairy lights that are not strung through the garland, I preferred this as I didn't really want the light anyway but I think it'll work well for folks that would prefer plug-in lights as well. The last picture of the full mantle is of two of these garlands with a little overlap in the middle. I think it looks beautiful. Honestly surprised by this garland! Love that the fairy lights are separate from the garland so I could use them elsewhere if I wanted. However they are awfully florescent (vs a warm tone).     • Not as full as the picture!

This garland is very thin and does not bend at all. To get it to look like the pictures you will need 2-3 strands. I had to use lots of fillers to get mine to look decent for my mantle. I think if I would have gotten 3 it would have been ok. There is no bending of this at all. It doesn’t move at all. For instance if you wanted to move pieces to fill in a gap, you can’t. They aren’t bendable, they may actually break off. It did smell pretty musky when I took it out of the box, but the smell didn’t stink up the room. ... show more

Year after year I go to home improvement stores and collect the clippings for my mantle. Over it. Finally ordered this garland and it was awesome! The length, the mini lights, the texture the look is amazing! I will be ordering a few more soon! I love these. Next Xmas present to myself!
