I wish this came with an instruction booklet. Looking at the box and especially looking at the Amazon pages, you can figure out that you can try to build a solid block. That is where I am having fun now. (My new games is trying to figure out how I would write an instruction manual.) There are three styles of blocks that are 3-D and 5 styles that are "flat" and that means building squares is interesting and using (as the game was meant to be used) the "rocking" base is interesting. The Tetra Tower game is terrific! It is well made and provides houes of fun for me and my son. As soon as I got the Tetra Tower game I immediately opened it and started to play it. It didn't take my 10 year old son to notice me playing and he walked right over to me with the biggest smile on his face and said "Can I have a turn, can I have a turn?" This stacking game makes a great stacking toy to add to our game collection. It is just perfect for get togethers with friends and for family game night. This game is perfect and provides loads of fun for young and old alike. This game makes it easy to create wonderful memories and to bond with the kids while playing Tetra Tower together. This game is so much fun and it teaches the kids to be strategic and it enhances their ability to think critically while having a blast at the same time. This is a pretty clever little game. It comes with rules, but really your imagination is the limit. They had fun with the originally intended game. They also had fun challenging each other to stack in specific shapes, to see how high they could go on different surfaces, and even tried playing "tetris mode" where one person slowed moved a random piece, and you had to tell them how to turn & place it before they lowered it.     • The game is fun, has a Jenga vibe, but not for small children.
I ordered this game to play with my granddaughter who is 3. The advertisement said for 3+. She is attracted to the colors and the shapes, but she’s definitely not able to “play” the game. It’s fun, and I will use it with the older grands…just not for a 3 year old. It’s a balancing game, and she doesn’t have the fine motor skills necessary for the delicate stacking that’s involved. This game is a ton of fun for all ages. We've played with kids as young as 4 up to adults. The pieces are lightweight, so it is a bit more forgivable for younger players too. This is a fun game that is easy enough for pretty young kids. In essence you just place pieces on the base without tipping it over and making the pieces fall down. The whole set is smaller than I would think based on the photos, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. As is usual, the Christmas season gets way too busy. I was planning to get this game for the family, but did not. Now that things have slowed down a bit, I realized I forgot to get this. Now we have it. It is every bit as fun as the videos I have seen with it. I also like that it isn't just for adults, that even toddlers enjoy playing with it. It really helps with their dexterity skills. There is a lot of laughter with this game, and that's a lot of the fun. This set comes with cards, but not necessary to use when playing.
