Very sturdy. My only complaint is that it was supposed to arrive in 2 days but took 8. The shipper waited 4 days bf shipping the item. My son was able to put it together fairly quickly for me and it's holding two reptile terraniums. It was a few millimeters too high for my standard height living room ceiling, but I will get someone to cut the top down an half an inch and will be as nearly perfect for the job as u can get. I'm including a pic of the 2 stacked terraniums in case anyone else had the idea to use this for the same purpose. I have had to leave the top portion off until I have it cut down a bit, but tech if I didn't want to do that, I don't have to. It's doing the job as it is now, but I want to get something to close off the bottom, and the portion where the lights are, so need the frame in place. I can even fit my bugs under the bottom of the lower enclosure. Its entirely a work in progress and the insides are nothing like they will be when finished. It's just what I've stuck in there to get by until finished. My tanks are 5ft long, almost 2ft high, and 2 ft deep. U could stack many tanks with this if u were using smaller tanks. It's actually perfect for this. Very sturdy and the wired shelves will not melt. I do wish it was half an inch shorter though. If I wanted to just make an entire new shelving unit out of the piece that is not been added yet I could bc the manufacturer gave many extra bottom and top end caps. Where the bottom portion ends at the top without the 2nd top piece added, is at a height of prob 4 1/2 ft high, so if u wanted 2 shelving units, that's how high one would be. I have not put together the other piece, but u can get an approximate height of what the 2nd unit would be by subtracting the first half from the total height.

We bought two sets for our garage. Assembly was not complicated but definitely a two-person job to keep the parts steady for joining. The frame is sturdy and appears to take most of the load; the shelves are solid flat metal and look a little flimsy (they flex easily) but when set into the frame it's clear that they will support a lot of weight. There are no height adjustments on the feet so you will need to level it using shims. Also, while the listing says that the two stacked components can be used separately, the kit includes only enough end caps for the stacked configuration (at very top and very bottom) -- you would need additional end caps if using the two components separately. Overall, we're very pleased with the functionality for the price.

This is a well made storage unit. The surface is smooth and won't hurt your hands, and there are no screws or other miscellaneous items needed. It even comes with its own glove rubber mallet for use during assembly. One person can easily complete it in about 15 minutes. Once assembled, it is a very sturdy storage shelf. I highly recommend this product. One last note. The shelves I received with this product are solid. I prefer solid shelves over wired shelves because small things don't fall off the shelves.

This shelf was well worth the money and I will probably buy another one. It took no time to assemble. The pins are hidden so there are no openings. The shelf is open but sturdy with support bars. It can be made into one unit or broken down into two shorter units, the shelves are adjustable for efficient use of storage space, and since I need more storage items, I bought the largest size I could find.

We love the size of them, the metal is hard, the whole shelf is solid and very easy to assemble. We keep them in our basement for storing items of various sizes and weights, and I plan to buy another one for the garage, they fit perfectly in our space.
