Took these backpacking and spent an entire day hiking through a river. My sleeping bag was packed at the very bottom of my pack — usually the first thing to get soaked — and came out completely dry. That alone made these worth it. One of the bags did rip by the end of the trip, so I wouldn’t count on them for long-term use. But for a budget-friendly, one-off adventure? They did exactly what I needed.

These will be adequate for what I plan to use them for, but they are not completely waterproof. The seams aren't sealed, and there are visible holes where the thread for the stitching goes through. Probably good enough for light, occasional rain, but I wouldn't trust them with anything critical.

Great bags. Now, these are not your typical rubberized dry bag, so for the price, it would not be expected to be like real dry bags. These are great for keeping things dry while hiking or in my case, motorcycling and they are made of a lightweight waterproof nylon. I cannot vouch for how waterproof they are if submerged in water, but they should work for generally keeping things dry in rain showers.
