    • Nice set of canvas for any artist
Our set came in well packaged and without any distinguishable blemishes or defects on it. They are pretty taut and looks even throughout. The canvas material appears like it will take the paint well and without any issues. I've designated this set for my younger kids who have been anxious to paint on canvas since they saw their older sibling painting on them. Glad that they're excited to have their own canvas. For the price, this set is very good value considering also that I will have young artists who are not as experienced in painting on canvas working on them. ... show more

    • Solid student canvases for a bargain price.
At time of writing this set is priced about $10, which is a steal. The six canvases are a solid level one quality, with decent tooth, and well stapled. For making art on a budget, these are great.

    • Great for Watercolors
Some of these canvases had indentation marks on them. We're guessing it was from shipping. There were a few that had dips/ large indentations at the corners. Again, not sure if this is a flaw in the stretching or a problem occuring during shipping. These canvas claim to be able to handle multiple mediums, my artist daughter was most skeptical about the watercolor, so that's what she tried. She tried a few different methods with the watercolor and was impressed. She was able to use it just like watercolor paper with remarkably similar results. The canvas has more texture than paper but otherwise is was highly comparable. It also doesn't leak through the canvas, another surprising point. Overall she was very impressed with that. Very happy with the canvas quality, and would have been a 5 star review if not for the indentations/shipping issues. ... show more

These are very handy for novices trying out new skills; they are inexpensive but sturdy, and there is a good variety of sizes in the package.

    • Dents Don't Want to Flatten Out
Love that these came pre-primed and ready to use. They are well put together (sturdy) and the canvas material is somewhat thick. So far I've used watercolors and oil paints and have had no issues with coverage, pooling, or absorbency. I would give them 5 stars, but they only get 3 because a few of them did not have the canvas stretched tight enough and some of them (the larger sized ones) had dents and other marks that don't want to flatten out. I believe the dents are from the way they were packed together with one inside another - they came nested with the smaller ones inside being pressed against the larger ones - i think that is what caused the dents and marks in some of the canvas. I tried setting something heavy and flat on them for a few days - it didn't help - I also tried a little steam and a special roller thing - the dents dont want to flatten out even when painting over the dent. I will most likely use the dented canvases for practice painting and goofing off. ... show more

    • Sturdy, thick, bright white canvases, ideal for a beginner or beyond, great deal!!
We're going to enjoy painting on these, my son and I are getting into art and this pack of 6 is ideal for us to play with. There were a couple small "dents" in the canvases, probably from being stacked tight but they're really pretty minor. The canvas is better than other ones we've bought for much higher prices so we feel these should stand up to an assortment of paints and other materials. ... show more
