Ordered these for backup lights on my flatbed car hauler, read the reviews about the mounting bracket sucking but decided to order anyway cause they were the right size and the price was not too bad if they didn't work. Got then and tested them out with a 9 volt battery at the kitchen counter and was not all that impressed with the light, I know it was only 9 volt but it gave me a idea of how bright they would be and if it was worth the trouble of mounting them, decided it was bright enough and moved on to getting the brackets on the lights and I'm here to tell you the reviews are accurate when they say they don't fit right. However of your smart enough to mount and wire the things yourself then your smart enough to figure out how to do a few simple bends with a couple of pairs of pliers to get the bracket to fit right. Once I got the bracket on the nuts go into the little slot and get a small screwdriver and fish them up to the bolt and your done. Once mounted on the trailer and had a full 12 volts running to them they were WAY brighter then tested with the 9 volt battery, they work very good for backup lights on my trailer, not sure how far they would reach out in the dark for driving lights but they do have a very nice flood pattern and do spread light very well, please keep in mind they are behind me and I'm looking in the mirror so it might be different if you mount them on the front of something, I will say that I am over all happy with them other then the stupid bracket needing to be bent so it will fit ... show more

So the plus is they were a swap for my existing Kubota work lights. I modified the stock brackets for a tight fit to the roof. That said the mounting system sucks. Two Allen bolts are attached with 2 hidden nuts. Problem is the nuts fall out easily and they aren’t a nylock nut so who know how long these will last before the screws back themselves out and get lost. Not sure why they didn’t give nylock nuts. Getting the nuts to stay in while mounting is a real challenge I suggest stuffing the cavity with play dough or clay or something to hold them in place. I used a pebble. You probably think I’ve lost my mind, what is this guy talking about, go ahead and order and you’ll find out. That said the light output is okay. My concern was too much light output would be blinding in the snow so I opted for these. Much brighter than stock but not too intense so I’d say just right. Mounting system 1 star, lights 5 stars. I have a pair on top of my UTV. They don't add much more than the stock headlights. I also have a pair on the back of our camp trailer. Those are great for backing in the dark.

    • Lenses were not sealed waterproof. One of them fell out when I opened them up.

Very Poor sealing to hold the clear lenses in place. Had to do it myself. They do have a very bright light, so very satisfied with them after repairing the poor factory sealing.
