I got this as a birthday gift to myself, and I'm still admiring it weeks later. I love how easy it is to shape the branches, and to add in the extra leaves and spiders where there may be open-ended spots. The color and density of the glowing lights are perfect, as well as the 4 levels of brightness. It's my favorite decoration that's in my house right now. Pros: -Easy to set up, didn't come with instructions but it is so obvious which pieces go where that you shouldn't need them. -Timer/light options work as directed, sturdy plug with long cord. -Soft orange light -Easy to adjust arms, bendable Cons: -Cost is high for quality - tree is just plastic wrapped in what essentially feels & looks just like electrical tape. Many of the leaves are bent/folded from shipping & stuck in that shape. Will need to either get them wet & then dry flat or maybe just warm up & they will bend? Not able to get them flattened by hand. -The skulls that fit over the lights aren't all the clear-orange color in the product photos, many were darker & light can't come through well -Very top heavy, base has no weight to it

The media could not be loaded. I got the 6 Foot black Maple Tree with spiders and light up skulls looks amazing!! There are also additional lights on the rest of the branches that are visible throughout the leaves. When the orange lights reflect off of the black leaves, it gives the leaves a cool mixture of little bit of a burgundy appearance. I read a review that stated that there were a lot of loose leaves on this tree. I was careful with opening and bending the branches out and noticed the same thing, alot were just falling out. Once I really looked at the tree pieces, I noticed that some lights had the leaves slid over them and then there were other lights that were by themselves/bald. I went through every branch and as I would bend each piece out, I would also just add the extra leaves onto the "bald" lights. I think that maybe when they put the product together, they just partially assembled the tree, leaving the extra leaves for you to add if you want to. My tree is now complete, full of leaves and lights! There are some skulls that are darker than the others, I bent them all downwards like they are fruits because they were all upside down otherwise. The skulls could have been painted a little bit better but as a whole, the oddness of the paint actually adds to the entire look. I also bent the metal wires that have the spiders on them so that they look like they are dangling from their web string. I did have 3 spiders that didn't stay on by themselves, so a little bit of quick glue solved that problem. This Tree comes with even more leaves in a bag for replacement or you could toss them around the base as if they "fell". You could even toss them into the tree, to make it look fuller. The plastic trunk screws into the plastic base, and it comes with the 4 standard metal stake set, in case you want to put it outside on your yard. On the plug, there is a push button that sets the lights for 4 different dim/brightnesses. It's also a push and hold setting for the timer, 6hrs on/18hrs off!!! The blue light will change to green for the timer setting. I love that it gives me options. I would've potentially given this 4 stars because of the leaves not all being put on and not all of the spiders staying on, but I really do love this tree so much! For me, It's worth the minor situation and thats why I'm giving 5 stars. Now that you know what to expect, GET THIS TREE!!!! It is a great addition to any Halloween setting!

This tree is a really striking prop that could be the centerpiece of an amazing Halloween display. It's totally worth taking some extra time and care in setup to show it at its best. While this is listed as being suitable for outdoor use, I'd use it under shelter, as on a porch, secure the foliage, and since it's fairly lightweight for its height it will require strategic staking or weighting. I think it really shines indoors, though, it's of a perfect size to really make a statement in a dimmed room or entryway. When setting it up, note that the lower branches are folded up, and it's easiest to fold them down one at a time starting from the bottom. Yes, there are a lot of leaves that easily come loose, so if you want to save yourself annoyance later just dab a bit of adhesive for each. There will be plenty of leaves to cover all the twig ends, and more are provided in a pack of extras. As you bring each branch down, it's easy to bend the twigs into lifelike positions and fill the available space -- those of you with artificial Christmas tree experience will already be pros at this. The branches for the top of the tree are bent down to reduce the tree's height for packaging, so take care and gently separate them from the other branches before bending them up, then spread the twigs. The photo shows the lights yellower than they are; they're a beautiful orange glow in real life. The dimmable feature gives this tree real versatility so that you can adapt its brightness to lower-light settings, and the timer is so convenient. Also appreciated is the generous cord length, which makes for more flexible placement options. This tree's impact really is a value at its price point -- again, compare to a Christmas tree of the same height (all holiday trees matter!). I love it enough that I'm going to keep it indoors as the focal point of a corner "landscape" display, and plan to use it year after year.
