When I opened this up in person, I was a bit surprised, thinking I had ordered a black and white garland by mistake. That's not the case; it's just that the dark green portions are a very dark green. The green and white portions are made of a thin translucent plastic, so they work out okay when combined with lights. And I'll be hanging this in the hall with a string of Christmas lights, so this should work out fine for my purposes. But I was hoping for something more like the color of the picture on the listing before lights are brought into play. One thing I do like about this is that the core of the garland is a twisted pair of wires holding everything else together. You can't make crazy shapes like hearts and expect them to stand up straight or anything like that, but it means that the drape of the garland can be shaped a bit, within reason. It would also be easy to cut this if the length is more than you want, but I feel like the whole thing might unravel if I did, so I'm not going to try it. ... show more

This is a fine decoration, and in the right light is looks fine, but it should be noted that when you first pull it out of the package it almost appears black. It is a much darker green than pictured, so it is something to consider when ordering. The 59 Feet Christmas Garland Decoration in "Dark Green" was a bit of a disappointment. The color resembled more of a Halloween vibe with a strong black and white skunk-like appearance, which was far from the expected Christmas greenery. It didn't quite live up to its advertised Christmas theme.

Like the other reviews I am really disappointed in this. The effect is cool I guess but the green is much too dark for a real garland or anything that is supposed to mimic it in any way. Better off being placed far away and far up so that people can't really tell what it is. Not for detailed work.
