First, these are great. I am so, so, so very tired of LED lights that last less than one year, and a lot less. They look like <insert your favorite disparaging word here>, and while the 'operating' costs are lower, they do not, ever, deliver on a longer life. As far as the pennies for good looking lights, I'll pay it every time with a smile. I am going to old school Christmas lights too, but I digress. These were just what we were looking for - fantastic looking lights, that actually work. Obviously, you need to be careful with the bulbs, but the two replacements work well when I am an idiot. I hung a 25' string around the perimeter of my balcony, and they look fantastic! I have a grid-style railing, so the lights clipped on and are not only secure, but in a nice even line. I also plugged them into a dimmer extension cord, so I could play around with the brightness, in the event they were too bright - but with the 5 watts per bulb it's really not necessary unless you just want some very soft lighting. I prefer the incandescent lighting to the LED, as that's too "cold" and although the bulbs may last much longer, they're too bright - and the bulb is plastic. I like that the incandescent is glass. NOTE: Remove ALL the bulbs before you even take the string out of the box or hang, as the bulbs ARE somewhat delicate, and you don't want to risk breaking any before you even hang them. They were packed very well, arrived quickly, and came with the two extra bulbs as stated. However, I DO recommend ordering extra bulbs, so you always have extra on-hand if/when a bulb breaks or burns out. BUY THESE!! You'll love them! ... show more

I already had 1 set from a couple years ago. I had moved and needed to cover a larger area so I got another set. Lights are not those bright LED ones, they are soft yellow glow. Very much recommend if looking for quality and soft glow.

I bought these lights 10 months ago. I have these strung out on my enclosed porch so they are protected from the rain/snow. At first I had to replace 2 bulbs (which were included) but now 10 months later multiple bulbs are burned out.
