Description

Featuring 50 PCS standard ABEC-1 608 2RS C3 deep groove(single row) bearings 8mm(ID)22mm(OD)7mm(W) Repalcing the worned ones on your skatebord scooter inline blade electric motors, wheels of bicycle & motorcycle, automobile, electric hand power tools, etc in many other rolling applications. Please do check dimensions/size or the precision grade if it fits in on your device. This 608-2RS miniature radial ball bearing has red double seals and a steel cage, and conforms to the ABEC 1 precision standard. This light duty bearing has an 8 mm bore diameter, a 22 mm outside diameter, and a 7 mm width. Its precision is rated at ABEC 1 by the Annular Bearings Engineers Committee (ABEC), allowing higher speeds and creating lower friction than less-precise ball bearings, and its radial internal clearance is C3 for radial slack between the inner and outer rings is greater than CN (normal) to compensate for thermal expansion. This bearing is made of ASTM International 52100 steel and heat treated to increase hardness for optimum wear resistance. Its deep ball grooves in both races support high radial and axial loads, its straight bore fits conventional cylindrical shafts, and its nylon cage prevents the balls from coming into contact with each other during use, reducing friction, vibration, and noise. Removable single lip contact seals on both sides protect against contaminants and retain lubrication applied at manufacture. This ball bearing is suitable for use in skate boarding, inline skating, and other skating applications.

  • 5 defective bearings out of 50 at this price, I can live with that
Out of 50 bearings I had 5 that had balls with flat spots. I think that is reasonable for 26 cents a bearing. I definitely would not put these in a skateboard but for 3D printing projects these are a pretty good deal.

  • Just okay
So far after 3 out of 20 bearings were bad. Soaking them in oil didn’t work, the problem I are the seals. They don’t seat well so your left with breaking that run the seals. They don’t run freely, you have to lubricate them to get them to run free.

  • Exactly what it claimed to be
Great bearings for heavy duty work. Wouldn’t use them for a Skateboard but for the heavy duty drawer slides I built they are perfect. Drawers are 60” deep and hold several hundred pounds. Slide perfectly

  • Not big on the plastic
Not used to plastic seal and melted while welding. I’m sure they are perfectly fine for any other normal application.

  • Get what you pay for
I wanted some bulk bearings for various hobby projects. These basically fit the bill. I did expect a little bit higher quality than I received, but they will work fine for my needs. There is a *LOT* of variance in the quality among the 50 I got. They are all inconsistently lubricated so you'll want to service them before use. Fortunately the rubber shields don't fit very well so they'll potentially fall out on their own when you do that then you can mix and match seals until one fits and stays in place. Some spin smoothly and some barely spin at all... even after cleaning and lubricating. All of them I've inspected have significant play between the inner and outer race so will fail catastrophically and quickly if used for their intended purpose. As a toy though, for something that isn't moving very quickly, that doesn't need to be aligned precisely and isn't bearing any load they're fine. Yes, if you need a bearing that won't do any bearing you've found the perfect item :) I'd guess that these are rejects that didn't pass quality control at the factory and are now being unloaded in bulk to whoever will take them. I will note that since ordering these I've found a listing for 100 of these at the same price ($18). I can't imagine the quality control being any lower (probably from the exact same source) and with twice as many you'd get a larger number of decent samples. I'd give those a 3/5. I couldn't bring myself to give something so sub-par a 4 star at any price point. ... show more

  • Trying to stay busy
Cooking up projects to stay busy in retirement Made a loft shel, making rolling trays to store bins and boxes. Planning to use these as rollers on the trays containing bins. Got axles, planning to route slots for short axles and bearings (rollers) and epoxy them in place, then install retrieval cord. ... Worst of all, of course, I will have to create a spreadsheet identifying every item I may need to retrieve. Piece of cake! ... show more
