This game is great! My very active 6 and 8 year old boys simply love this game. It's silly, fast paced, and keeps their attention. We have a lot of difficulty with board games because both boys don't like sitting that long. This game is easy and quick. Sometimes we just get the cards out and all try to find answers to the questions, together. One boy does the timer and one reads the cards. My 6 year old can read almost all the cards. One of the favorites is, "Name 3 things that parents say...". It's a lot of fun to see what they come up with. The timer is very fun as well! Not just a sand timer, but it makes a honking sound when you push the end and it has little 1mm marbles that spiral down the inside grooves when you flip it over. It takes 5 seconds for all the marbles to get to the end. It's visually and audibly identifiable. The game is 5 second rule, but for the younger players I either give them 10 seconds or they only need to get 2 things (instead of 3). I saw mention of taking this on a car ride and I think this would be perfect for that. This game is a winner at our house. If you have young children that can read and have short attention spans, this game is a WINNER!! Well worth every penny spent! ... show more

This is a fun twist on the 5 second rule game. We've enjoyed the regular version for many years and when we learned there was a Disney version, we wanted to check it out. It's harder than it sounds, but it added a fun twist to the regular game. If you are looking for a very quick and easy to play game then look no further. 5 Second Rule Jr. is super simple to play and more challenging than it seems. The questions are very kid friendly and the 5 second time limit forces you to think fast. My kids (ages 7 and 9) and I enjoyed playing it together. I love a game that ends long before you get sick of playing it. The timer can become somewhat annoying (if it falls into the wrong set of little hands) since every time you flip it, it make a little duck sounding noise. The kids love that part of course and it definitely shouldn't deter someone from buy the game. But just throwing it out there in the event you have a child that might love to torment you with a duck noise sounding 5 second timer. Overall I would recommend this to others and would consider giving it as a gift. ... show more

Fun for any age because you can choose the level of difficulty and bend the rules however it suits you. It can be tricky to find games that everyone can enjoy, but this is definitely one. You can modify rules to make it fun and more enjoyable to younger kids. Use the timer, don't use the timer, give extra time, let "iffy" answers count, who cares! I bought this on a recommendation from my 7 year old grandson who I babysat this past summer. He played it in school and he said it was fun. It is very challenging, trying to name what you have to name in 5 seconds. it is not as easy as you would think.

Fun game, but cards are very small and hard to read. Box was dinged up pretty bad, looked like it was used and resold to us. I like the game, but do not like how small the cards are and how the box was not new looking.
