Why did you pick this product vs others?: I got these because I needed some black washers to match the black bolts I used on my pergola. Washer quality: These are well- machined, very heavy duty washers with complete black coating and a nice thick gauge steel construction. Look: I was happy and a little surprised that the coating didn’t scratch off when it was subjected to tool work, including an impact socket! I wanted to try these for a niche use - making chainmail, using half of these washers and half riveted rings. However, these are too heavy for that. Nothing wrong with them. The black coating helps prevent rust but does not mitigate it entirely.

These washers are serviceable utility type. Thickness is .092", OD is 1.375", ID is .602". They are stamped steel (not stainless). Not sure what to make of the finish, which is brownish black and fairly rough and uneven. See photo of back and front. I'm guessing maybe it's a heated oil finish. No idea how well it will last in damp environment. They call it a "Rustpert" finish. ... show more

Size: 5/16" (100 pack)
All the washers (I got the 5/16"x7/8") are consistently and cleanly made. No rough edges, flashing etc. As far as the Ruspert coating, I'll need to expose them to the elements over time. The top black coating will scratch off somewhat easily, but as I understand it there are other coatings/layers underneath that make up the finish so the protection is likely still there. ... show more

50 - 3/8 inch x 1 inch flat matte black washers roughly 1/16" thick. These are exactly what they should be, good sturdy functional washers for 3/8" bolts. Come sealed in a heavy plastic bag.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The washers are exactly what you would expect the measurements were exactly as expected, shown in the pictures. This is the first time I’ve purchased Ruspert coated hardware so I can not speak to how it last in service. The coating looks uneven, with swirls, with a flat black finish. ... show more
