my salt grinder release blot started rusting and fusing with the base because...salt got in the threads, i cleaned them up and put a little bit of this, seems to work

A week ago I purchased a different grease that came with the gasket. The gasket was fine but the grease was horrible, grainy, stiff, yuck. I had to start over and clean out that grease. I repacked the wife's worm drive stand mixer with this grease. She's run about 20 loaves of bread dough so far and no signs of the grease separating into oil and thickener. Initial impressions are this is a high quality grease and the 4oz was just the right amount for her 7-qt bowl lift mixer. Hopefully, 5+ years down the road, the grease will not dry out, which is the real test. ... show more
