I’m not sure why they didn’t use block screws because silver screws are definitely very noticeable. They also put the stickers directly on the parts. Also, one of the internal 4 corner pieces was not constructed correctly and was made to face the incorrect direction. We manually had to make a hole for ourselves to flip it the correct way. Also, one of the leg screws did not drill correctly, so it caused the leg to be wobbly in that case we had to just super glue the screw along with the wood.

Don’t follow the sequence of directions. Assemble the table first! On to the review - Once a major problem was resolved, I was satisfied with the table and chair set. However, for a fairly pricey table; I believe the manufacturer should come up with some way of camouflaging the silver hardware visible from the chair assembly. It had been a while since I had to assemble something like this, so I was very careful to follow the directions to the T. The directions started with the chairs, so I started with the chairs. Big mistake! The chairs actually require more time to assemble because there are more parts and are secured solely with an allen key. I then assembled the table. When I was securing the thin table bottom, I noticed that the predrilled holes in the table frame top did not all align perfectly with the holes in the thin table bottom. There were 16 small screws needed to secure the thin bottom with a phillips screwdriver. I did the best I could and rotated the table staggering the screws on the four sides and did not tighten them fully until I had all the screws in. I turned the table upright and couldn’t see any splits in the table frame, so I thought everything would be ok. Then I tried to put the reversable top on and it wouldn’t sit right. The table frame was not square. I push hard and was able to force the top into place, but I couldn’t get it off. I started the return process and was directed to return the set in its original packaging. I called and spoke to a representative at Amazon telling them that I couldn’t get the top off and could they just send a new top. This was not an option. Long store short, I turned the table upside down and the top came off and realized that I really didn’t need to get the top off to disassemble. I was just infuriated that I was going to have to disassemble everything and try to get it all in the box. So, instead of disassembling the chairs, I waited for the new set to arrive and assembled the new table which was better and kept my original chairs. I then with difficulty shoved the defective table back in the box with everything else and returned it. Not all of the holes in the new table bottom lined up with the holes in the table frame, but it was better and once secured the reversable table top sit nicely on the top. With all this said, I would give the table set a 3.75 because I believe that the hefty price warrants matching holes for assembly ease and either painted white hardware or a way to hide the silver hardware securing the chairs. I’d give it a 5 if it was less than $100.

The table set is part of a room for a grandson visiting. One side is for duplos, yes they fit perfectly, and the opposite top side is white smooth. We have already spent hours using the table and it’s amazing the confidence our youngster will have sitting at their own table and chairs coloring, playing with toys, etc. I was looking around for months reading many reviews, and decided upon this set. I am delighted in the Crisp , white color, and it was not difficult to put together.

The finish on the wood top is cheap and bubbled up after a little water was on it for 15 min. Looks good and is sturdy but the finish won’t hold up. Another thing from amazon that’s average at best.
