    • A Very Good Portable Monitor
I’ve been using this monitor for a few days now and I can state that the quality of this monitor is very good. I’ve used this in several different configurations: 1) 3 monitor setup connected to a Nvidia GTX 1080 card. Output is at 4K 60Hz using the supplied mini HDMI cable. The monitor must be powered by the included power brick and usb-c cable. 2) Connected to my laptop as a 2nd display using the included usb-c cable via thunderbolt 3 port. Output is excellent with 4K 60Hz. In this configuration, if you plug in the monitor using the included power brick it power the monitor AND the laptop at the same time. Vice versa if you have your laptop power brick charging the laptop; the usb-c cable will drive the monitor and also power it so you only need the one cable 3) Connected to Nintendo switch. Output was 1080P using the usb-c cable and also powering the monitor with the included power brick and cable. Quality was very good, although you can tell it’s 1080P. Much better than the native Switch screen though. Picture quality: Excellent. Very detailed, similar to high end laptops running 4K 15” IPS screens. Color accuracy seems to be OK. Not as good as color calibrated OLED laptop screens but definitely as advertised. Brightness: Very good. I didn’t run my color calibrator on it yet, but brightness appears to be 300+ nits Panel type: Since this is a touch screen, the surface is glossy using a glass or glass like coating on the screen. Very high quality, although I can’t state how durable it is. Definitely want to be careful moving it around. There’s definitely glare, but it doesn’t bother me and I prefer the sharpness of a gloss screen over matte (probably in the minority there) Touch screen: Touch accuracy and response is very good, but note that the touch screen is only supported using the usb-c connection. HDMI will not work. There is some light bleed, but it’s not bad and is similar to other IPS panels. To compare, this screen has less light bleed than my Lenovo X1 Extreme 4k IPS panel. Overall a very high quality portable monitor on par with higher end IPS screens. It’s pricey, but worth it if you want quality with a glossy touch screen. ... show more

    • Exactly what I was looking for.
For my needs, this is the perfect portable monitor. Out the box, the monitor connected easily yo my Surface Pro laptop, MacBook Pro, and IPad Pro. Compared to other portable monitors I’ve tried, I like that after connecting to the monitor via USB C, there is very little wait time before I see my device projected on the screen—I love not being forced to stare at a company logo for a few seconds lol. My primary intended use for this monitor to work with spreadsheets. However, I can see this monitor coming in handy when I travel and want to watch apps like Netflix and Hulu in a hotel room. It’s also handy in that it can add touchscreen capability to a MacBook Pro. The 4K resolution is gorgeous. Even with only the power cable connected directly to my laptop, I find the brightness sufficient for my needs. Using pass through power will drain my laptop battery faster but that’s just something I’ll have to live with. The monitor is nearly frameless, no logos, touch screen works perfectly. Easy to understand settings without referring to the instruction manual. The monitor stand is much better than other portable monitors. I’ve tried that only allow you to use the smart cover as a stand. The only downsides to this purchase was not having a Smart Cover and I found the USB-C cable a tad long for my needs, so I had to order a five inch one to deal with less cable. Auto-rotation seems a little buggy but it’s not a feature I plan on using much. Flipping the to 90/180 view works perfectly but rotating back to the original position doesn’t always return the desired result. Customer service was really nice and I appreciate them checking in on this purchase to see how things are going and offering me a three year warranty. Overall, I would highly recommend this purchase for anyone looking for a portable monitor. The only things I thought were missing (and might be nice to add to future versions of this monitor): - rechargeable monitor capability - Ships with Smart Cover, screen protector, or carrying case - USB C connection on both sides of the stand so that I don’t have to deal with a longer cable than necessary ... show more

    • Great price for a 4k touchscreen monitor, need a USB 3.1 GEN 2 device.
I am overall very impressed with this, and am happy with the purchase. I love: 1) The build and design. It is sturdy, thin and very well built. 2) It works very well, and is fairly bright. 3) 4k quality is very good. It is next to impossible to find touchscreen monitors that are 4k. 4) Fairly easy to setup, once you know what you're doing. 5) They supply all the cables you need & power charger. Cons: 1) I assumed that a USB 3.0 port would allow you only needing one cable to connect (for power, control & picture). BUT I am pretty sure you need a USB 3.1 GEN 2 port to do that. I don't have a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port to test that, so someone should confirm that. Otherwise, I needed 3 cables to set this up: power cable (they do supply an adapter), USB cable & HDMI cable. So it isn't as clutter free as I had hoped. AND I wish they had more information in the Amazon description. 2) It didn't seem to work for my phone. I have a Pixel 3, and I am guessing that the Pixel 3 has a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port (it is surprisingly hard to find out what port they used). When I connect the USB C port of the phone to the monitor, it doesn't bring up a picture. I can control the phone from the monitor, but I can't see anything on the monitor. Maybe I am doing something wrong? Not sure. That all said, I would buy it again. I just want to get USB 3.1 Gen 2 devices now. ... show more
