These clear ornaments are made well. The plastic is clear, not translucent (cloudy) - which is exactly what I was looking for. The plastic is also NOT that cheap brittle, easy-to-break plastic - it's more of a thick, soft plastic. The two plastic halves fit together perfectly. Once put together, they stay together until you twist them open. They do not pop open on their own - which is great. Each half has a hanging tab, so when you align these two tabs and put twine through them, that also helps to keep the two halves together. I ordered these ornaments to use for a bubble-theme cocktail party. I put bubble candy in some of the ornaments and placed them at each place-setting. Because I wanted them to look like blown bubbles, I sanded off the tabs on these spheres. I used the remainder of the spheres to make a bubble chandelier that hung over our home bar. I bought these ornaments to fill with mini skeletons and xrays as Christmas ornaments for my Radiology co-workers. These are some of the best bubble ornaments I have found. They are a thick plastic, don’t feel brittle or cheap and I imagine will last a long time. Even with them being a thick plastic, they are completely clear, not a one of them was cloudy, nor did any of them have any defects. Each side of the bauble has a small hole, you simply line the holes up and snap the two sides together. Once you string a ribbon through the adjoined holes, it becomes another level of security between the two sides. The 4” balls provide plenty of room for any creativity you can imagine.
