It definitely is TSA and baggage weight friendly. If you are used to playing on a traditional piano or quality keyboard, you may find yourself frustrated. Some keys do stick and play twice if you don't press the keypad dead center of the desired key. It helps if you can ensure the surface area is completely flat and even. The sustain pedal suffices for the quality of the device. I wouldn't advise parents to purchase this for their student musician if they are taking private instruction BUT if you simply want to expose your child to piano music then it's a good introductory device. This is not a piano, and i did not expect it to be. Sound variety good. Problem is in playing. A couple keys double hit EVERY time, when i know i have only hit once and released. Some also double hit vs sustain when held down. Don't have room right now for electric piano so this will do for my teaching myself my part on songs i am learning. I wanted all 88 keys just to play around on. Not really useful for trying to learn to play piano, as the key feel is very un-like any real acoustic or electric piano. Good way to have a piano, but you need a long enough table or console. My biggest obstacle to playing a tune is the double note the piano makes when I plunk the key only once. But I am not a good pianist so the double Plunk-plunk makes for a good cacophony of cover-up for my mistakes. Sounds Great! Keys are hard to get used to if you have always played a full size piano. But you can do it. Don't have to worry about the Grand kids getting in messy. Wipes right clean.
