Very easy to start, and pretty good fuel economy as well. Getting roughly 5 hours per gallon with eco mode. Very reliable unit. Slightly louder than I would like but much quieter than most open frame generators.

This is an excellent generator. I bought it for emergencies. We have frequent short outages here in the mountains. I read many of the reviews and went for it. I was very careful, removed the red brackets securing the base for transport added the oil 1/2 a quart of 10W-30, filled with just under 2 gallons of NON-ETHANOL 90 octane gas, turned the fuel shutoff clockwise to open, pushed the choke lever all the way to the right, pulled the starter cord and it started easily on the first pull, then pushed the choke lever all the way to the left and it ran perfectly. Ran a power tool also tested the eco button which idles it down when there is no load. I think if you follw these steps you will have no trouble. Excellent buy for the money ! ... show more

This is an amazing price for this generator, with free shipping. Starts first pull, and remember to break it in properly. In hurricane prone areas a must. Easy start up, usually first pull. Will last a long time if you just follow a few steps after your done using it and returning to storage. Drain fuel tank and carbeurator, and actually swab out inside of tank in its low area around shutoff, drain carb thru drain screw. after carb and tank dry, pull spark plug, and drop in about 1/2 ounce Lucas upper cyl lube, or marvel mystery oil ,, pull cord five times to disperse protection oil,You can also use plain engine oil if that’s all you have. Put spark plug back. Also always try to purchase ethyl free gas if possible. pull cord lightly till feel resistance ofcompression stroke ,this closes valves protecting cylinder from moisture and rust. Guarantee in a year putting fresh fuel in it will start on first or second pull. A bit of work, but you just protected your investment, and when storm hits, yo know it will start. ... show more

This is a great generator, can't beat it for the price. It fired right up within a few pulls. Doesn't come with oil, but no big deal. I put 10w-30 in it (600ml). Someone said the manual is bad but my manual is great, gives necessary details. It's a little loud (100db next to it and about 75db at 30ft away- not too bad) and it seems very similar to other generators I've had. Upon break-in, it ran 9.6 hours at full power on a tank of fuel (approx 2 gal). Then I changed the oil and put it away for an emergency. Very happy with it and thinking about getting another one for my daughter and her family. Note: The choke label is backwards/opposite, but was easy to figure out. It's been the same on many Chinese engines I've purchased in the past, so I'm used to it. ... show more

On mine, choke sticker mislabeled, choke on is actually off, choke off is on. Confirm by removing air cleaner cover & foam and observing carb butterfly. As supplied spark plug wrench, cannot access plug with out taking off gas tank. A standard 3/8 drive 13/16 plug socket and breaker bar can access. Don't know if rachet can access. Ambient temp 68 F, started on first pull. Takes .6 quart of SAE 10W30 motor oil. About 1.75 gal fuel tank. Regular gasoline fuel. Fuel gauge. Seems to be well designed and well built. Includes printed manual. Did not include a ground cable but you can get one on Amazon for around $15. Includes standard 115 v household-type output ports plus a three-pronged TT30P RV-type port. Great price. I would store it in a garage if possible. Otherwise, if storing it in a shed, store in an air-tight plastic wrap bag to keep the air moisture out. This generator works great. It's easy to start and does what I need. It's a little heavy, but I can manage it. Goes in the back of the pickup real easy so I get power where I need it. I seems a little loud to use at a campground.
