I bought this to cushion portable hard drives and camera equipment in several small zippered cases that I bought here on Amazon. It provided *most* of the protection that I wanted in only one case, but not as cleanly or as customized as in the promo photos and video. -- It took more than four days for the foam to expand after being tightly compressed in the shipping package. The listing suggests letting it sit for a day to expand – that was not nearly enough time for full expansion. -- Only two of the pieces of foam have the “pick and pluck” squares to customize the fit. The other two pieces are conventional eggshell foam. That makes the effective price of the customizable foam very high. It also meant I was not able to use it to protect as many devices as I hoped to get with one package of this foam. -- For the price when I got this, it was very expensive for only two small pieces of customizable, “pick and pluck” foam. The eggshell foam is okay, but for this price I would expect it to include more pick and pluck sheets. -- There are no directions or suggestions for using or customizing the foam. As you can see in my pic, they come tightly vacuum packed and "smooshed". There was no little note or instructions, so one would assume that when you unpacked them and let them sit for a while they would expand and be useable. I set them aside and waited. The next day they were not much better! Still unusable. I got these to use in a small hard shell camera case I wanted to use to transport one of my more expensive drones, but these are junk and unusable. They also included a thin white clothlike piece that I have no idea what it is supposed to be used for. This is another example of a product being portrayed on Amazon with nice pictures, even a video, but when you get the product it's another story. I really don't appreciate false or misleading advertising. Spend your $18 elsewhere and stay clear of this one! ... show more
