This are wider than I had thought, which makes them even more sturdy for my couch. I love the look and they have raised my low couch to a nice, modern height. They are able to handle a lot of weight without any issues. You do need some bits to add the metal plates to the bottom of the couch. Once you drill the holes and add the metal plates, you screw them in and you are done. There are no directions so I used a 1/2 inch spade bit to drill the right size hole. I bought these to update the look on a newer couch and loveseat to more closely match the décor in my living room. Although it's advertised as such, I was pleasantly surprised when it was a 5 minute job to flip over my couch, unscrew the old legs, screw these into the open slots, and flip the couch back to it's normal position. The legs seem to be good quality, but I would rather have a nicer tip than just stick on pads. Definitely use the hardware provided and not the existing hardware already on your furniture. The threads on the new legs did not match the existing hardware on my couch and so I'm definitely stuck with the legs. The feet that came with my couch were these chunky little plastic things, only 3 inches tall. I purchased the 5 inch tapered wood legs, and it gives the couch some extra clearance to store a few things underneath, plus it looks much more stylish. These were great. I have an uneven floor that's more than an inch out from place to place, so I had to custom cut the heights of these feet to get my couch level on the floor without using any ugly spacers under the couch. I've added a photo of how I ended up cutting them - I squared up a 4x4 with my miter saw, then installed the included t-nuts on the 4x4, and threaded the leg all the way in. This ensured the leg was square to the blade. Then I slid a shim under the far end to support itso my cut would stay straight. I marked a cut line on some masking tape, which also helps prevent tearout. If you do have tearout, fill the light spots in with some black sharpie and it's invisible. ... show more

Legs perfect for raising the height of my sofa. The dark color looks stylish. The legs were easy to install. They just screwed in. I did not have to use the brackets provided. Just make sure your furniture has fine not course screw style to fit right without the brackets. Otherwise you can use the brackets. ... show more
