Description

3M Solus 1000 series protective eyewear features Scotchgard Anti-Fog lens coating which helps workers see clearly, longer – providing longer lasting fog resistance than traditional anti-fog coatings. When microscopic water droplets land on lenses without any type of coating, they bead up and form condensation and fog, obscuring your vision. Scotchgard Anti-fog Coating produces a reduced-contact angle, flattening the water beads into a thin, transparent film of water that allows light to pass through. The coating retains its effectiveness for at least 25 washings with water, allowing workers to wear their eyewear longer. The coating can be disinfected with diluted bleach soaking or alcohol wipes without losing its anti-fog performance. Washing with soap and water is considered a best practice and can enhance coating durability. These safety glasses have a low profile and are available in bold, modern colors for a personalized style. Based on 3M internal testing per EN168 test method when compared with traditional anti-fog coatings. Meets the High Impact Requirements of CSA Z94.3-2007 and the High Impact Requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2020.

I am a nurse and am also required to wear eye protection when I am at work due to the pandemic. The glasses that were provided to me by my employer are also made by 3M but they are blurry and too tight on my head, which was exacerbating the migraines I frequently suffer. So, I ordered these glasses and I am so glad I did. They are so much clearer and they are much more comfortable. If you’re having the same problem with your protective eyewear, don’t hesitate, order these! I work in the ER and wanted extra protection against the potential Covid patients I come in contact with. A fellow nurse bought this in green and it came with an elastic strap and foam piece that connects to the lens for extra comfort. In the description it says it's included: "The 3M Solus 1000 Series Kit includes a pair of Solus safety glasses featuring lenses with Scotchgard Anti-fog coating, an optional elastic strap, and a removable foam gasket." I bought it for myself but it doesn’t fit. My face is too FLAT!! It fits my husband perfectly though...I don’t have arched brows, it stuck on my cheekbones and leave a big gap around my eyes. No matter what they say these are not anti fog, I wear them in a hot humid factory and they have the same problem the $1.50 ones the plant provides do. The lens is just a hair too long on the front which means when you become active and start to sweat your perspiration evaporates into the lens fogging it up. ... show more

I don't know if its just the pair I got, they exhibit a weird magnification and distort everything I see through them. I have several pairs of safety goggles, none do this, I don't know if its just the pair I have but everything is very slightly magnified which makes using them disorienting. I’m recovering from robotic lung surgery and bought these glasses for my family members to protect our eyes when caregivers or delivery people come to my house. Between these perfect protective eye glasses, surgical masks and latex gloves we have managed to not catch the CoronaVirus. We haven’t left the house in 16 weeks because my son and I are immunocompromised. When the Visiting nurses and therapists started coming to my home a few weeks ago, they came with similar protective eyewear and it made such sense to wear protective eyewear even just opening delivered groceries.
