Awesome product used it many times for furniture repair filling over primer apply at once for the razor blade. Keep the top on the tube when not in use sand very very quickly comes right off without burning through the primer.

    • Cheap replacement for "Green Stuff"

I use the 3M Acryl-Green as a modelling putty for miniature scale models. I have been using "Green Stuff" in the past to do the same jobs as this putty is now doing and it is so much cheaper. If you buy a big tube of this stuff it will last you a lifetime. You can mold/shape/sculpt right out of the bottle and it dries hard and relatively quickly. Working time is between 3-5 minutes and total dry time is 15 minutes. If you are not a fast worker, 3M makes other acryl based putty of different colors. Each color represents the drying time of the putty. The life of the putty can be extended with a little mineral spirits in a glass jar, preferably with a lid. If you close the putty in a jar with the spirits, it will stay malleable all night. This product also sands very well. I give it 4.5 stars only because it is no better than any of the others I have tested. I like the amount you get for the price. That is the biggest selling point for me. ... show more

For everyone in the auto world that is about to say "Well no @$%# ya moron". I am a Hobbyist. I got this from a recommendation for filling seam and layer lines on 3d prints. This is by far the best gap filler I have found so far. Pros: -Goes on super smooth -Dries lightning fast ( Work in really small amounts ) - A little goes a very long way. Cons: -Dries Lightning fast. I got to the point where I was applying little dabs from the tube directly onto the piece in working on, No time to put it on a different surface. - This stuff is toxic ... show more

Been using this product for a few years restoring antique cars. Does an excellent job filling very small dents, sanding scratches and other minor defects. Doesn't take the place of body putty, nor was it ever intended to, but does an outstanding job filling air bubble holes in body putty and holds primer easily. I have the white putty & the green putty. Both work fine the green for sure cures faster both sand out nicely. Haven't tried the red. pretty runny at the top once open I stuck apiece of wire into the tube and stirred it up. Overall the best stuff I've use for model airplanes very low shrink rate.
