  • It works great for fine scratches, it's not meant for deep scratches. Five stars.
This worked perfectly for me, removed fine scratches from the driver's window on a 21 year old truck. The window was hard to see through because it was so scratched up. I tried to get a replacement window, that's a long story, but I failed. So I ordered this polish despite the reviews. Here's the thing. I used to work in a lens shop. I know how long it takes to polish lenses, and what can be polished vs what needs to be ground. So you won't have much luck removing deep scratches with this polish, this is for finishing/polishing. If you can feel the scratches with a fingernail, you probably won't remove them with this, unless you spend hours and hours on one scratch. But for fine scratches from dust as a window is rolled up and down over many years, it works great. A buffer won't do it either. I used a bosch orbital sander with a spongy backing pad and 2000 grit sandpaper, applied the polish compound to the sandpaper, and then repeatedly polished one area of glass multiple times, about 5 minutes per application. I also used a dowel rod to stir/mash up the polish, then shook it well before each application. After about 5 such applications, all that was left was a deep scratch, but the rest of the area was smooth as glass, and I could see through it again. My wife was very impressed! ... show more

  • Works!
Definitely works! Really great improvement. The more micro sized scratches are gone but the deeper scratch are there. Ill probably hit it again with the DA

  • Works Great and as Advertised
This stuff works amazing. I had some etching on my front windows that was to the point it obstructed my view looking forward and out of the window or side view. I put about four small dollops on a wool polishing pad, attached to a drill and went at it for about 2 minutes per window. Wiped away the excess with a damp microfibre towel and now both look brand new. It was very easy to use and decently priced. My one knock would be that I wish they sold it in a smaller size, as it worked so well for my need that I don’t think I’ll need it anytime in the foreseeable future. ... show more

  • Takes A While To Work
Had some scratches on my windshield of my new truck. Bought this to remove them, it did not work as I was hoping. After working on them for about an hour they were still there. After doing some research found it will take a while. I have not tried it again yet but will. But the scratches are better. I feel that it's a good product. Found out that it is messy so cover things up before using. And have patience. ... show more

  • Waste of time and money
Shook the bottle good multiple times, what was inside is clumpy & not liquid. Tried it anyway on glass windshield small area passenger side. It did nothing, cleaned glass tried it again, no change. Waste of time & money.

  • Well…it seems to work. But not at first.
Here was my original assessment. Follow-ups below: I’d first like to tell 3M who makes scotch bribe a few things but my review would never be published. You see it was them who got me to where I needed this glass polish. If you google “can you use scotch brite on glass” you will be returned the results telling you how great it is on glass. So I proceeded to use it on the rear glass of my brand new C8 Corvette to get hard water spots off. When I wiped the glass cleaner off I was presented with all my new scratches on the rear glass of my $100k sports car. I’m anything but happy about it as you can imagine. So in comes this product. Above you see some before and after pics. That’s a full hour of attempting to polish by hand. I used a rotary polisher on the other side (not photographed). Best I can tell is all I got out of this was a sore, but well worked out, arm. The rotary just slung stuff everywhere so no better results with it. The polish gets sticky within seconds. I hit it with water spray and that certainly loosened it but but I saw zero improvement to the glass. So far this has been a waste of my time and money. At this moment they get two stars because it appears slightly better between the two pics attached but as you can see, some of those micro scratches are un-phased and that was a whole bunch of my time and effort. Tomorrow I have some glass specific pads coming. I’ll give them a shot and update my review afterwards. Update 1: As promised here’s another. It amazes me that damage to glass took 30 seconds to cause and Ikm now 2-3 hours in and still not back to being restored. Today the 5” drill driven applicators showed up and I learned a few things. 1.) These are WAY easier to work with and less messy vs my rotary. 2.) One thing you can’t judge from watching videos of guys showing how to do this is how hard are they pressing. They always say to let the compound do the work but after 45 mins of pretty much getting nowhere, I put so pressure on it. Like more than you think you should need. Surprisingly, THAT finally started to give me results. I worked it with some pressure and the drill based pads and this removed some of the scratches in a noticeable way. Spent an hour in this fashion and retired for the day. One thing I’m still not clear on his exactly how much paste I should be using and when do I give it some more and when do I give it some water spray. This is still trial by error. I feel like I’d like to have some 3 inch pads to use for more focused attention on the problem areas. More to come. Man do I regret using that scotch brite. Last update: I now have over three hours in this. Still favorite tool was the drill with the 5” pads. Worked better than my rotary. I will keep my review at 3 stars. I also tried some of the powder cerium oxide and it did no better than this stuff which means this stuff works as well as the powder. In both cases, neither one removed my micro scratches caused by the 3M scotch brite but both drastically reduced them and their effect. Most people would not notice them but I know where every single one is. None of these scratches can be even remotely felt with a fingernail. I tried multiple methods, varying pressures etc and after 3M plus hours of elbow grease, only the micro of the most micro seem to be pretty much gone. Again….it did drastically improve the situation but I think the only way to have a new looking piece of glass…is to replace the glass. Thx a lot 3M Scotch Brite! ... show more

  • It's like a new windshield.

  • Leave it on the glass for a long time!
This wasn't too impressive to me at first. I was putting it on, using a Glass Cutting pad. But I was really only looking to get rid of Etched hard water stains on my shower doors. But putting it on, and buffing it off after a few minutes, worked...but not as well as I wanted. But then, I made the discovery of leaving the product on the glass for hours!! I left it on a section of the glass for almost a half of day...then used a glass cleaner (as lubricant) and the cutting pad to buff it out...and that section of glass was incredibly clear and smooth!!! I think leaving the product on the glass for a long time is how to really get the best out of it! ... show more
