My dog has a massive bladder tumor and it is becoming very difficult for the urine to leave her body, which means she squats to pee for about 10 minutes each time as it slowly trickles out. Our upstairs patio is convenient for timeliness to let her out frequently, but is made of textured concrete, absorbing the urine, making it smell, leave unsightly stains, and an unsanitary bathroom for my poor little shih tzu, whose bottom half lies on the concrete when she squats because of how low to the ground she is. I decided to look for some sort of washable cover to put out there and came across this fake grass. I purchased one to see if she would even pee on it (she is extremely picky and stubborn), and when I placed out there and she immediately and happily relieved herself on it. It also makes the patio look much better, for use even after my little baby is no longer with us. While my particular need for this may be unique, the overall point is that it both looks very esthetically pleasing as outside decor, and is useful for anyone wanting to let their dog outside in between walks. Additionally, it is just as easy for me to clean with power washer hose as the rest of the concrete, which was already how I constantly cleaned this pee-soaked patio.

Great little patch of artificial turf. I purchased one of these for my small dogs to use on our covered patio during the rain (they hate rain), and they took to it immediately. It worked so well, I ended up ordering a second one.

Life saver! My dog (a 6 lb chiuhaha who took lasix twice a day) really took to it without much training. She refused to use puppy pads by itself but used this no problem. Really helped me out when working long days. Only problem was it was impossible to clean. You can get things to mask the smell but cannot clean it with soap and water or else it gets musty. You just have to replace it every month or two.

I received the product about a week ago, my puppy Virgil (French Bulldog about 5 months of age 10lbs) is still potty training, however he hasn't received all of his shots yet so he can't be around other dogs until then. I want him to know that the grass is safe to go to the bathroom once he is able to do his business around other dogs and in "real" grass. It took him about a day to adapt to it fully. He now utilizes it all the time for #2 and recognizes that that is the place to do "his business". He also now notifies me when he is ready to "go". I still have puppy pads as he is about 95% trained. Overall - if you live in an apartment, high rise or even mid-rise where the elevator is slow, or it's not convenient, or it's raining outside or whatever the reason, I 100% suggest getting it. You will not regret it. It also looks good on your patio regardless because it adds color to concrete (lol). Absorbency - I gave it 4 stars - because it is a bit then... However, if you put a strong, durable, large or XL (charcoal-infused (my personal preference)) pad underneath it, it takes care of the absorbency issue. Cleanliness - very easy to clean. Pardon the gross recommendation -> If your dog has normal stools that are formed, you will have no issue cleaning it. You can either pick it up instantly or you can wait until it dries and pick it up. I DID NOT and HAVE NOT experienced issues with little remains in both situations. All in all, it's been great! I occasionally will spray it so my patio doesn't smell like pure urine or his #2s (hahaha) For Potty training - Absolutely - It has been awesome for him - I will definitely recommend it! It's been great during this time when we all have to stay inside.

We live in a huge apartment which while it is pet friendly and there is a doggy park, our puppy who we got at 8 weeks old couldn’t quite make it that far to go potty. We were able to put this right outside on this balcony thing on our floor and for the middle of the night, early morning and late night bathroom times we were able to take him out. Especially when he started to have accidents we could run him out there for training. It is a little weird when you get it but the wrinkles eventually come out, it drains easily, easy to clean and feels very similar to the turf in the doggy park we have here so he had no issues going between that able grass outside. For the price it’s great. Recommend for puppies and small dogs for sure but it’s been a life saver. Give it a shot for sure.

It’s ok but honestly it seems like it’s just a square cut off a roll of turf you can get at the store. I got for my litter of puppies to use and i put puppy pads under it and it’s helped with potty training them. At 5 weeks old they are whining to go outside to potty now and use the grass pad when they aren’t able to go out. They also like to lay on it and tear it up. Next time I’d just get a roll of turf and cut it though or get one that has the trays with it. But it’s served its purpose.

This was such a great purchase! I just recently got a new puppy and I needed a way to potty train him to go out on our small cement patio because I live in a condo with no access to a backyard. At first I thought I would try potty training pee pads but then I saw these grass mats and decided to give it a try instead and it was sooo worth it! My puppy immediately took to the grass mat and has gone on it on my patio ever since then. They are really easy to clean and large enough for the puppy to have room to go! I would definitely recommend these over potty pads because it will get your dog used to going in grass and has been such an easier and faster transition to going outside!
