I make jewelry and was running short on chain, so I ordered this. It's not bad.. it just feels really ight and the size of the chain itself is alot smaller than what I'm used to working with. If you're looking for something lightweight and dainty, this is for you... If on the other hand, you're wanting something sturdy.. look else where. ... show more

I think because it's sodered, it'll have a lower chance of snapping and breaking. One downside to being sodered is that you can't open a chain to add a chain. You have to cut the chain with a pair of sturdy scissors or something else that could break it instead of opening the link up.

I use this to make chains for my pendants since I prefer longer chains than usually come with them. This is really easy to use and it's small enough to fit through most bails. So far it's been durable, but I wouldn't put a really heavy pendant on it.
