I bought this for use in the lab. It is much better for inspecting the cut end of GC columns than the teeny tiny loupes most people seem to have. The size is perfect, the magnification is great, and the little plastic case helps keep it safe. If I hold it up to my cellphone camera, I can take some decent macro pictures. Neat! If you want to something beyond tiny, as in my parents thing I'm holding air tiny, get this, because then they can see it. It's great! It does have a VERY narrow range of focus which is really annoying but otherwise it is a really nice little tool.
