If folded up well, very lightweight, but durable enough... I wouldnt go backpacking for a long time with it, but perfect for single day excursions or few day trips. Lots of storage and pockets. Just not sure it would hold up with heavy weigt for long periods of time.

I love this bag! I used it on my trip to Ireland for St. Patricks day. I did a lot of walking and there are like all 4 seasons in a day. I was able to pack a hoodie, rain jacket extra phone battery water bottle and snacks. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had more internal pockets. I like to organize and this did not allow me to do that well. I love that it folds up into a a small bag that was easy to pack in my suitcase and took up very little room.

Pictures of solid colors show typical ripstop material with small squares, which is generally smooth and thin. However, I was very disappointed that the printed leaves fabric was not ripstop, even though it had the same description. It was thick, stiff and crunchy so I returned it and ordered a solid purple one that is actual ripstop. It seems to be sturdy and made well. Great size and I love the fact that my 14" laptop in a zippered case fits in the outside pocket! Unexpected bonus
