I’m really happy with this DIY burlap banner set! It comes with 30 blank flags, the full alphabet in stencil form, and even a heart stencil—all ready to go. The flags are a great size (not too big or too small), and the burlap has a nice rustic feel without being too rough. I love that they come pre-threaded too—huge time saver! Also The material is sturdy and easy to work with for either paint or vinyl stickers. NOTE ABOUT THE VINE PROGRAM: I received this item at a reduced cost as part of the Amazon Vine Program in exchange for an honest review. Vine products are not free -- their value is taxed as income. I review items based on if I had purchased them for the full listing price, how I would feel about them, the things I would want to be made aware of, and whether or not I would be keeping the item based on those factors. HOW MY PERSONAL RATING SYSTEM WORKS: My philosophy is that for a rating system to be effective, the highest rating and the lowest rating should be reserved for a relatively small percentage of the best and the worst products. If I give a product four stars, I still believe it is a very good product. To get five stars from me requires a product to go above and beyond and really impress me beyond my expectations. By the same token, a product has to be very, very bad to get only one star from me. One thing that I don't take into consideration with my ratings is price. I like it and would recommend it to someone if they asked about it. I would most likely have purchased it myself if I needed. ⭐⭐⭐ Slightly Below Expectations. The product is average and for the most part does what it claims. There may be a few things I don't like about it. If I recommended it to someone, I would state my reservations. I may purchase it again if I could not find a better alternative. ⭐⭐ Below Expectations. It may, in some respects, do what it claims to do but has far too many problems to overlook and/or the product/features were misleading. I would never recommended it to someone nor would I ever purchase it again. There is a good possibility I would return it/give it away. ⭐: Broken/Never Received/Given Wrong Product. It is in some way entirely unusable. It has way too many cons and hardly, if any, pros. I would actively warn my friends away from it and would most likely return it if possible.

Ordered this for future use anticipating a need for me to customize a banner for some purpose at some later date. I like that the product offers a "blank slate" for personalizing the pennants in any creative way with whatever artistic mediums the user chooses. The stencils may be useful for some, but I would have preferred a friendlier sans serif font rather than a business-like serif font. The pennants are nice. The burlap has been sized to stiffen it so that wind will not affect readability of whatever is stenciled or painted on the surface. It's a good value for the money.

This was a really easy banner to paint and assemble onto something. The paint dried almost instantly, as we painted it only 2 hours before everyone arrived for a family reunion party… The banner came completely intact and ready to use… The stencils that are provided were great and didn’t realize there was a heart so that worked perfectly to fill the empty space.. Loved the design and it was big enough to fit onto a ballon arch we were making. Unfortunately, I’ve never made a ballon arch and was thinking it would be easy and simple. Someone lied to me!! So this really helped to mask the space of my disaster, it is a great value.. Only one side note to consider, I would put down newspaper or something underneath while painting because it does go through to the other side if not…

For under ten dollars this is a pretty well made kit. It would be nice if the manufacturer packed the components up in paper, instead of using so many plastic bags because paper can be recycled, but much single use plastic is sadly forever. The pennants are made of burlap, but are surprisingly thick and must be starched, because they’re very stiff. More than one of the ones we got had no cross weaving fibers in the tail of the pennants, because there is no hemming and those little pies just fell out of the pointed ends of the flags. This means you can’t expect to use these many times for things like birthdays, because they aren’t made to withstand wind, time and handling. Other flags we have, have doubled over edges which are hemmed and they have stayed in good shape over the years, where these are not going to last past a couple of uses. Please consider putting just a little more work into these, so they don’t fall apart before delivery, during stenciling or even in the initial use. The stencils, too are made of thicker plastic, which means they’ll last through a number of uses and be able to be used for other projects if you treat them well. There IS a HEART stencil, too. But there are only 15 pennants, so you won’t be able to spell out the “ Welcome to the Team” message suggested in the listing, unless you make yourself a 2 stencil. It’s too many letters for 15 flags, otherwise. might want to edit the listing and add other shorter message instead. The biggest issue with these burlap pennants is that they aren’t hemmed, which would help the open weave fabric from falling apart. They will probably work fine for most people, but then be thrown in the trash, which is the product of a lack of forethought on the manufacturers part. This is disappointing. We DO NOT have to put up with being sold a Disposable Lifestyle, just because it’s cheap or CUTE. We all have the option to support sustainability. yes burlap breaks down the earth, but if made better, it wouldn’t have to.
