I purchased this to tow my 12 foot inflatable dinghy with my 42 foot Carver and it works great! I paired this with a 60 foot tow rope and use a line across the back between two cleats since I don't have any tow hookups on board. It keeps the dinghy pretty straight and I feel confident it won't get lost. I noticed at faster cruising speeds (at least fast for my big heavy boat) the dinghy actually starts surfing on the wake! This means there is little tension on the line and bridle and it still stays straight behind us. The carabiner on the front of the bridle makes attachment easy, in fact we pull the tow rope in and attach it to the cross line when going through locks and in tight quarters so the dinghy is close to the transom of the big boat. Then once clear we pull the carabiner off the cross rope and let the tow rope take the dinghy further out. Since I don't have davits or a hoist this is a fantastic and inexpensive solution to taking the dinghy with us wherever we want to go. ... show more

    • Excellent quality overall.
It takes a bit of ingenuity to get the center strap properly adjusted for length so that it takes its 1/3 of the load. After achieving that I stitched it to prevent the adjustable clasp from slipping.

Use this to tow 8'6" west marine inflatable behind 20' center console in coastal Maine. worked great for me. Saw some negative reviews from others regarding adjusting center strap, I did not have this issue. That might be a problem when towing heavier boat mine is small with tiny 2.5 Honda motor worked great at like 20mph. ... show more

    • Middle leg won't stay put
Just okay. The adjustable middle line won't stay put with the cheap little plastic buckle. Any kind of force on it and the whole thing becomes a two point tow harness rather than three. I finally had to just add a piece of line for the middle line and the nylon one just hangs there now. Seems like they need to come up with a better set up for the adjustable part. ... show more
