I got these for heavy earrings. They work well on heavy studs, or drop earrings with a large surface area to hide the backing. As some other reviews point out, they do show with some earrings. And they fell off some of my drop earrings, even when I tightened them up, per the directions. There are two sizes, so I will try the other size. Overall, I recommend for some earrings - you just have to try to see which will work; gave four stars cuz they are not the easiest to use and only work for some earrings, but still worth it for the ones they work on - they do exactly what they say! They are well-made/good quality and I like that they come in assorted finishes.

They work, but not quite as advertised. Still, I am glad I bought them and use them all the time. They probably work out better on a younger person with better earlobes. I am elderly and have very droopy ears.
