Ok so if you have a Tesla you know these side mirrors are pitifully small. I would never have known about these unless some really cool motorcycle rider kicked my mirror off, that's another story, I'm here to inform you about these little beauties. The wide view may actually make you sick at first. This is not hyperbole, it is actually jarring when you first start using it. I only have the mirror on my driver side mirror...but ohhh baby that sweet, sweet wide angle view makes all that initial nausea worth it. Look I trust my blinker camera now, but that trust took time. But when I look in my side mirror, I can see it all! Super wide view and makes for super confident merging and yielding to off ramp traffic, Oh and they are blue. It didn't bother me that much, but the color in the pic, yeah that's real. ... show more

    • Good safety improvement, great price

I'm a new Tesla model Y owner. I've had my model Y for about a month. But there are a handful of things about it that seem like safety issues: 1) The wipers - I live in a rainy area and yikes, the auto mode is bad, and manual access to wiper controls is worse. 2) One-pedal driving—Though I now have the muscle memory down, I find switching between my wife's Rav4 and my Model Y challenging (at least for the first few miles). 3) The side mirrors - The field of view is so small that it is dangerous. I have to live with the first two, but I could fix the side mirrors. These mirrors are a good value, they fit the car perfectly, and boy, do they help. I feel much safer with them. In fact, I avoided driving in our city's downtown until I got these. Installation is okay. You have to pull on the OEM mirrors to the point that it feels like you might break them, but they pop off without issue. The new mirror doesn't use one of the wires (I think it said it was for Antiglare). But the mirror I believe the mirror has an antiglare coating (or some other marketing justification for the difference). With or without the wire, it works fine day or night, and I feel much better driving my Model Y. ... show more

I’m not sure if I miss understood, but the image suggests that I would get two mirrors I only got one and it was the driver side one and I need the passenger side one , so I had to return it

These mirrors should be OEM! Having the wide-angle on the driver's side makes it much safer because it covers the typical blind spot with regular flat mirrors. Changing the mirrors was incredibly easy: Just adjust them fully outward, then gently pull from behind to snap off the old mirror and disconnect the heater wire connectors. Reattach the wires to the new mirror then press and snap it back into place. There's an extra wire that's not use with these mirrors and it doesn't affect how they work. ... show more
