Purchased this product as an addition to the Aosu Doorbell Camera. And just like the doorbell camera it does not require a monthly service fee like other manufacturers. The great thing about this product is that just like the doorbell cam it is Wifi capable and can send live stream to your smart phone. Once you download the Aosu app and register the cam with Aosu it can stream images to your smart phone. You will need to do this to activate the camera. The image quality and sound recording is fantastic and if you enable the auto track feature it will track movement. Additionally, it does have a speaker so you can talk to your children, family or pets. If you view images on your phone you can also manually control the pan and tilt of the camera as well. The recording sessions will store on your smart phone and can be deleted. **Please note that this item doesn't come with a memory card.** You'll need to purchase one separately if you want to store recordings locally. Also, this camera needs to be plugged in to a power outlet. It does not run on batteries. Every once in a while you'll recieve notifications from Aosu asking if you'd like to add cloud storage. Of course that comes with a cost. Personally, micro sd cards are fairly inexpensive. That's the route I went. Bottom line. It doesn't require a monthly subscription! Great image and sound recording. I love the camera except it would randomly take pictures. I brought this to the attention of Aosu customer support. My camera is faulty but they are replacing it immediately! Update, I received my new camera within two days and it works wonderfully and it does not take random pictures. The first camera would always wake up my granddaughter for her naps and this one does not. We also will put the camera in the living room while we're gone at work or town so that if the dog barks we can holler at him or whatever but it's nice to be able to see what he's doing during the day as well when we're not home. ... show more

I was looking for a a good quality HD camera to keep an eye out on my car. One week later a group of four teenagers tried to steal my vehicle park in front of my home. Luckily the Caremark was recording HOWEVER all the files were AVI files that needed to be converted. I did find on online free conversion up to 15 per day. It took several conversion before I found d the right ones. There were over hundred to convert. Still haven’t figured out how to have them used different format so that could be my lack of understanding. One other feature I don’t like is when you touch the screen by the controls it will pan around which is annoying. Also if you pick up the camera be carful not to touch the green call button because it will go off. Another annoying feature. It still does the job and it this camera that caught the so be thieves which got report to the authorities and insurance company. They like to see video for proof and helps catch these crooks. I first purchased another brand very similar camera and after spending 3 hours trying to get the cameras to pair with my wifi, I gave up and sent them back. Bought two of these AOSU and with much anxiousness, but had every bit of success getting them up and running with no glitches. I have very average abilities with these electronics so you can imagine my happiness when they showed up on my android phone functioning 100%. I can honestly say the AOSU cameras delivered to me are relatively easy to install and after that, it's all good. Might buy more. ... show more

Update 2: even though I was outside the return window on Amazon, I emailed the company's customer service to see if they can do anything for me. I think because they're in a different time zone, it took a few days to to get to a solution but they replied everyday. I got a new camera within 6 days. But the weird thing was that as soon as I registered the new camera and unplugged the old camera, the old camera would not come back on after replugging. I wonder if they somehow disconnected the exact camera from just receiving my order number or the camera was just that defected. Update: I got a second camera. Out of the box, the plug was really hard to connect to the actual camera. And today I just realized this second camera does not turn side to side. Only up and down. So it cannot do its 360 degree turn. So I took off a star because of the inconsistent product. This camera is definitely better than our other camera. The picture quality is good and it loads fast. If you don't want to buy their cloud, you have to put in a SD card to watch play backs. The play backs are organized by date and by the hour. You can set the sensitivity of the motion sensor. More than one person can view the camera but unfortunately they have to be invited and make their own account. But they don't have too much access. Like it doesn't tell the other accounts about the motion it detected. Only when something big is in front of the camera and it'll say they detect something going pass the camera. But using more than one devices to watch my baby sleep it would be nice to get the motion notifications too just in case. I thought the call button on the camera would be cute for the future. But ever time I accidentally press it there's no end button. So it rings until someone picks up or don't pick up or I just unplug it. It come with a wall mount and I love that it comes with a privacy option or camera off option without unplugging the camera. The camera will roll all the way down where the camera isn't visible anymore until you turn it back on. ... show more
